Story/ending?

There is no story or ending. It is like Left 4 Dead, but with procedurally generated levels and fully destructible terrain.

The game isn't finished as yet, it's still in early access, so to say there is no story is either ignorant, or trollolol

This is a co-op lobby based first person shooter.

There is no story, there are no "survival" elements.

Maybe you should watch someone play on YouTube or something as it sounds like you have no idea what this game actually is?

Oh so no story? Such a waste... So many games these day think making something co-op and rando == good game. Not for me or my GF that's for certain.

The game is extremely fun to play, and the synergy between the different classes is great. The game is in no way a sandbox. It's a cave spelunking game where you fight hordes of enemies trying to extract the resources that you were sent to retrieve..

Yes, yes, I too prefer the story driven 3D render/edit programs. If all it takes is a good story for you to enjoy a game, I have a friend whose an African prince working on a got tier story based action game, but he needs money to get it transferred to the US for a better publishing company. /s

On a serious note, if you need a game to have a story for you and your GF to enjoy, you two must be very bland people. Game play should outrank most things when it comes to game design or else the game isn't much of a game(unless it's a Tales game or something). Even good story driven games have a lot more focus on game play than story.

I already know we aren't going to convince you that this is your type of game, but there are plenty of others who will try it out and enjoy it. It definitely appeals more to the L4D2, Vermintide, DOOM, and Quake crowd rather than the Witcher, Mass Effect, etc crowd.

The game benefits from player creativity immensely. Good luck in your search for better story driven action games, though. The market is definitely starved of them at the moment(good ones, anyway).

Isn't the story just like they found a planet rich with minerals and want to mine it dry, but it's just dangerously infested with alien bugs defending the planet so they send in ace fireteams to collect the minerals since it is too dangerous for traditional mining?
