2. Yes, people join your lobbies usually and it works well. But unlike l4d, if host disconnects, whole party gets kicked out.
3. Random players are usually fun. There is not many salty players but if you're unlucky / live in region with many cheaters, you can meet some. EU seems peaceful so far.
4. There is in game voice chat but quality could be better.
There is voip in the game, but people rarely use it and along wit the chat it needs a bit of work. For example you don't see if you're transmitting in game, people sometimes don't notice the chat and react to what you're saying, which can be frustrating. But generally playing with randoms is viable, once people learn how the game and classes work they know what to do. If you want to use the voip more often the game has an active Discord server you can join with dedicated voice channels. You can probably find players there who use voip more often.
The biggest thing is a tolerance for funny business, randoms be randoms, so be ready for most any kind of silly behavior, both the humorous and infuriating kind. You also have to acknowledge the impact of how capable any given team will be on how hard a given mission will be, sometimes you'll have to carry, sometimes you get carried. But at long as you're willing to ditch a reward to get out of a bad lobby right away, and find a more suitable one (you usually won't have to though,) you should do fine. Provided you pay attention to your team's actions, and make use of the ping tool, you can usually get by without using voice or text chat (doesn't mean you should ignore them though!)
You may have more trouble when playing the harder difficulties, Hazards four and five, where teamwork, communication, and all that become much more important for success; but you'll find most players on Hazards two and three, which are about the "normal" difficulty for this game, and you should have reasonable success and fun there.
I failed very few missions due to the lack of skill of my random teammates. Very few.
you can play solo, private and public games as your selection.
1. you can join online coop multiplayer games with varients of missions and enemy bugs (spiders\ants etc) spawn.
2. the game work great for me. but i have some friends with low pc spec that they have Freezes and Crash randomaly sometime, Mostly works well if have decent\ good pc.
3. there is voice communication in-game if you like to use, you can also use discord program with world friends.
4. people like to comparison this game to "vermintide 1, 2" but for me is different I didn't played vermintide games yet. Max players online is 4.
You have missions\ tasks to do in each level and survive high ground of some deep caves and "win" the darkness, collect minerals ;)
There also awesome terrains \ environments in deep rock game.

If my teammates are HALF as helpful as tou all, I'll be in good shape.
Cheers!
I find it's better to host, for several reasons: 1) no latency; 2) you're in control; 3) you can start the mission solo and others can drop-in as they progress, so u don't have to sit around waiting for lobby to fill.
Playing w/ randos in general is not bad but the serious missions, it's going to be fail at least 50% of the time. Also a problem shared by "most games": randos/newbs jumping into missions they know they can't handle, thinking some miracle is going to happen. But it doesn't.
Playing w/ jokers w/ bad computers is also a challenge sometimes.
One thing I rly can't stand about this playerbase tho -- and also, it's a problem w/ other games, but seems prevalent here -- is ppl quitting after one fail. Like, if you're the weak link in the group, yeah, by all means: quit my lobby. But if you're decent and at least 1 other person is decent, and I'm of course decent ... why u gotta bail just cuz we got brought down by 1 nub? Think about it. This happens most of the time, and it's annoying. I realize this is a generalization about the playerbase and does not apply to many of you, and many of u probably have the same gripe. But IME many players are weak, quitters.
BTW .. in principle I definitely agree w/ the "no EA" policy but .. u have to take each game on a case-by-case basis. This game is pretty fully-formed. It's not like it's a bug-ridden mess (... er, at least programming-wise. The gameplay itself is, of course, a bug-ridden mess. And then u shoot them w/ your guns and win.)
