Anyway, seems solid.
Trying to rotate but accidentally grabbing and dragging a part is a little annoying though.
EDIT: Cant seem to reproduce it.

After some testing as I write this. It seems to occur when holding delete then clicking on an item. A temp fix is to add something, or above. You don't have to attach the item you added, but it's either that or the above temp fix.
Also I think a module design would be nice (Like weapon design, but can be added a normal mech hardpoint. Kind of like a pre-built asset sort of thing)
