I have tried configuring the controls with both a controller and keyboard, and odd combos of each, they never seem to stick. If the menu navigation works i can usually get about 10 seconds of total control before my guy likes to just run in place. The menu becomes virtually unusable as wiggling the joystick on my controller is the only way I have found to reliable make a different selection.
