I asked specifically how you know what overheads Steam has for you to judge they are taking too large a cut. If you can't answer just say so, rather than this silly 'so I won't bother talking to you' response.
Guys, I think that was a troll. You're all ignoring the obvious. This a is a Valve game. In this specific case, valve is taking 30% from ... Valve. Or rather valve is taking 100% because they devellop, edit, and distribute the game.
That debate might make sense for every non valve game, but here precisely it's pointless.
BUT ... (before everyone rages again ^^)
... if you look at Alyx as a whole, means the story, the many very good custom maps, good support of different HMD`s then Alyx is a game that you must have played (and what you can have fun for a long time, even for full price if you are willing to pay that)
lol, challenging a statement that someone made and asking for the evidence to back it up is hardly an action of the mentally challenged, nor is it arguing with you, you seem to be continuously side stepping the request and simply attempt to insult those questioning YOUR statement.
I am willing to accept your inferred accusation that Valve are taking too much profit from their 30% cut on Steam Sales when presented with the evidence. So far you have failed to present any, again I'm giving you an opportunity to do so seeing as it was you who raised this in the first place.
I would agree in as much that 'best VR game out there' is a personal opinion, and there is nothing wrong with that, but you are always going to find differing opinions on just about anything.
However, the overall positive response to Alyx from VR players does mean that it's likely most purchasers are going to find a lot to enjoy. What price you are prepared to pay for it depends more on your financial position and disposition to spending money on games. But it does have a lot of added value with the workshop support as Schranzi rightly points out.
As a personal opinion I'd say its worth the full asking price, but for anyone happy to wait for a sale then even better value.
That walking dead game is kinda cool as well. I did not like "into the zone" game. graphics and the inventory is not very good.
I also got cosmodread, buts so scary I cant play it at all.
I really liked Lone Echo, I've never played the walking dead game or cosmodread but I do like 'Into the Radius' being a big fan of the STALKER games although it seems based more on the original novel 'Roadside Picnic' than STALKER.
