You can but you will need to install Trinus VR and additional hardware to track the motion controllers.

You can technically go that route but A) it's terrible and B) you need to spend money to get it working. That money would be better put toward a WMR or other headset so you can do PCVR properly.

You can connect your PSVR to SteamVR, using your PC- if its good enough but you need extra hardware to track the PS Move controllers. If your PC can't run PCVR then no, forget it you won't be able to and the PSVR on SteamVR won't be officially supported or work as well as PCVR headsets.

So its a combination of yes you can use PSVR on SteamVR but its a no that its gonna work well.

I'd honestly guess this will be available for PS5/Xbox VR when the next gen consoles release.... but will people still be complaining about 'I dont have vr" even if PS5 ships with it?

We have been over this, many people don't like VR for other reasons than the cost.
Besides only around 5% of the PS4 users have VR (that is higher than the PC users btw)

Most "reasons" are dubious since they mostly come from people that haven't tried VR. I'm sure if you forced a headset on most of these folks their "reasons" would melt away pretty quickly. I'm not saying every single person has to like VR but 99.9% of people that *actually try it* love it.

And even if only 5% of PS4 users have VR (I don't actually know the percentage), that's still millions of people (the sales figures I am aware of). Likewise, there are millions of PCVR users. And both are continuously growing.

That is entire false. A very large amount of people including myself have tried VR, not just the current gen, but many other devices in the past.

Its facts (yes facts) that only 5% own a VR on PS4. Its even lower on PC, according to steam 1.3% with sales view its around 3%. That is a very small minority, this game will not push up VR to over 5% on the PC market.

VR was higher back in the 80's

I'm going to just assume "a large amount" is entirely made up just to make your argument seem like it's backed up. The fact is most people very obviously haven't tried it. Devices in the past are irrelevant since modern VR is a completely different animal.

1.3% is what the Steam HW Survey reports except that survey only includes headsets that were plugged in when the survey was submitted and most people unplug their headset when it's not being used. It's very inaccurate and I would bet the actual percentage is already close to 5%. It's already known that there are millions of VR users each on PSVR and PCVR. It's no small number even if it seems like a small percentage.

Just like I could assume your "most people that dislike VR never tried it" is made up.
So your argument is pointless.. Should we keep on making strawmans?

I already posted statistics on the % in another thread and even the pro VR conceded to it. I also did not go with the steam statistics (whom wants to put a 1.3% VR users) but the sales numbers from VR instead. You are free to look up these numbers yourself, but don't try to make VR more popular or used than it actually is.
Its a small minority. It has nothing about how many millions that are sold, but about the % of users in the playerbase.. By your argument steering wheels is one of the most epic items in gaming history and everybody should own them.. Its strawman and not very useful in debating.
