Not a bad card in concept, maybe set it to "Double to the a max of X"
- Red Dawn destroys it for 2K
- Burning Sky destroys it for 2K
- 2x Through the Breach destroys it for 3K
- 1x Dive Bombing + 1x Through the Breach destroys it for 3K
- 1x Out of the Mist + 1x Through the Breach destroys it for 3K and salvages it
- 1x Through the Breach can be replaced by 1x United We Stand in the three examples above
- Any 1K air unit + 1x Air Superiority destroys it for 3K
- 1x Mare Nostrum destroys it for 2K, provided your HQ has enough defense
- ...
These are just some options to destroy the A6M2-21 Zero for 3 Kredits or less. There are more options for 4+ Kredits, even if you have no units on the board or the Zero is guarded. Like Roland said - an Elite should be powerful and this one, although it can ruin your day in the right circumstances, is not a particularly overpowered one.
Plus like somebody else mentioned, it's a single card in ones whole deck only
That may SEEM like a lot of examples. But it isn't. No effective deck is going to have more than one or two of those options in it at any given time and remain viable. And....uh oh....what happens if that card IS NOT IN YOUR HAND. You lose. Simple.. You straight up lose. You have lost.
For 6 Kredits the your opponent has beaten you if you do not have THAT VERY SPECIFIC counter IN YOUR HAND. Because you can't even play cards to draw from your deck to GET the counter.
Oh, and even if you DO counter it. you just spent most of kredits countering it. for the turn. your opponent gets it out turn 4 or 4. So....you are STILL reacting.....and it's still a 50/50 game.
If I HAVE TO...as in HAVE NOT OTHER CHOICE but to design my deck around countering A SINGLE CARD...yes....there is a SERIOUS PROBLEM...with that card.
It should be powerful. It should not be a 6 credit auto win if your opponent does happen to have VERY SPECIFIC counter cards IN THEIR HAND (not even deck) at the time it is played.
Uhm, yeah. You're probably right.
You know what, you should try to get an Elite wildcard as quickly as possible, craft the A6M2-21 Zero and put it in a deck, then climb the ladder and become Field Marshal in no tme. You will be unstoppable.
OR
You consider the possibility that your deck might need tweaking and that you could build a different, more flexible deck or be in some other way prepared to react to the Zero.
