Insanely high price!? In this game you can get en entire set of cards of an expension just by playing the game in the months between this and the next expansion - you don't have to spend a single cent on this game!
And to claim consistend meta and slow deck rotation cause people to leave is just baseless or even false and contraproductive at the same time. Every time cards are moved to the reserve the forum is full of players complaining about their decks not being playable anymore. And you should be aware that a constantly changing meta would also mean a constant pressure to adapt and switch decks which means you'd need more cards sooner which means the game would become more expensive. So - be careful of what you wish.
Maybe players leave for these reasons but if that's the case they do so wrongly and won't be happy in other games either. Or can you name me a CCG where you can get a full collection without paying any real money faster than in Kards? or one where players don't complain about the meta? I am playing CCGs since 1994, more than 2 dozens of them, both papaer and online, have been following and leading communities ever since but I have never, ever experienced a time period where any of those communities where satisfied with the meta, never! They will always find something to complain about and the underlying reason is very simple: They don't like losing games. But this is a game where, for every winner, there will also be a loser. And when they lose they will be searching for reasons and they keep on searching until they find something that fits their narrative and that doesn't involve any blame on themselves. That's the story of every CCG out there, big or small, old school or new fangled glitzy stuff, mainstream or niche, casual or serious, P2W or FTP, paper or digital. It just doesn't matter because that's human nature.
In Kards you can always come up with some original deck to counter the meta. But of course since high strategy game is complex you will find lots of people blaming unicorns for their lost games instead of learning how to get better.
people are complaining about it being unbalanced but their are over 800 freakin cards they also give free cards daily to players that help newbies
