Has this game improved is it worth it now ?
Played this game ages ago and I quit the game as I felt it was very unbalanced and people just had to build some OP decks in order to win rather than winning by making smart choices during a match.

Has this been changed/adjusted or is this still pay to win?

I really enjoyed everything else of the game, just felt very out of balance most of the time.

You can play every faction successfully, however, they do have different styles and you will prefer different styles as a player. Which means just because you do better with UK doesn't mean this faction is better. During my first months (back then when you had to climb to field marshal with each faction individually) I had the most problems getting highest rank with UK and US. Later on it was Germany, though. This was also due to the cards I got (for some reason I got all good russian cards but not a single US mana ramp card for example) but also because of my playstyle.
Whereas a buddy of mine (he is a streamer and official content creator) had it vice versa - he was first field marshal with US and Germany but had problems with russia. Note that we are both veteran Magic The Gathering players with 25 years of experience in CCGs, we both started Kards at the same time and exchange ideas. But play styles are vastly different. We also prefer different cards and have very different opinions on what cards should be banned etc.
And that is again a good indicator for the health of this game - if the balance was so off or if specific factions would be way better, then we wouldn't have so different views.

nah it is the same, you are the only one doing smart choices so if you lose it is because they have OP cards or cheat, it is clearly impossible that any other person makes smarter choices than you or that they simply have a deck that is strong against yours.

Funny sarcasm.

But honestly, have you read the negative reviews?

I see when someone wins due smart choices and I see when someone wins due having a far superior deck.

PS: I never mentioned cheating, this was you. Now begone fanboy.

Why even ask if you have already decided that you will just randomly insult anybody who agrees with you ?

You came here to insult me as you told me that what I have said is literally a straight up lie and I am just lacking the skill.

Do you also act like this in real life? I doubt it. Now go and play your OP British deck.

Depends on your definition of an OP deck. Yes, of course people try to assemble effective decks, who wouldn't? However if by OP you mean decks stuffed with endless Special & Elite cards then no, it's not major problem; several decks currently generating angst in the community have almost no Special & Elite cards.

Don't know what your balance issues were, but all 5 nations are effective. You said "British OP"; whatever turned you off before probably hasn't changed: non-fighting techniques (CARPET BOMBING, guard-a-palooza, add HQ def) are still effective, they even added a British 'research' card that takes a lot of Kredits and buildup but if a passive deck holds out long enough it's effectively an "I win" card.

They changed the progression system and it's new-player friendly (I think). I disagree that this game has ever been P2W.

The biggest issue plaguing this game now is a heavy emphasis on orders instead of units. Units tend to get shredded by orders and there's not much units-killing-units as there used to be. Many effective decks play little to no units at all.

Hope that was what you were looking for.

This is probably the best deck in the game and it has 2 elites and I dont think you even need them.

The game is not pay to win.

Not right now it isn't the meta is very stale with most top level players using an identical copy pasted artillery deck. I'm waiting for it to be fixed in the next balance patch.

Fantastic game. Its all about building your deck. Its like chess simple game mechanics but need mastery to play it well.

Usually I encounter two for me undefeatable kind fo decks:

1. The British deck or cards where they start massively boosting up their defense points of their HQ and their units to and extend that simply won't allow me to catch up anymore.

2. The Japanese damage deck, shots and attacks coming from nowhere just wasting my HQ within a short amount of time.

I am not an idiot. I read cards thoroughly and I understand the game mechanics, but it seems to me that one has to buy several expensive packs to somehow combine such OP cards in to one deck, which is unfair and not really an enjoyable game for me then.

I also don't want to start boosting up my decks with these british and japanese super cards as I thought there would be diversity and option in this game and not everyone just spamming the same strong cards.

But according to all the forum scientists on here, I am just a whiny troll... I guess all the people who wrote a negative review are as well ?

This is nothing like chess, have you ever played chess? LOL. In chess I can win using my brain, in this game I can only win by tossing powerful cards in to a match that my enemy does not possess....nothing like chess.
Shaia_Tempari Apr 20, 2021 @ 7:14am
Truth is in the middle- flat-out , rarer cards are more powerful but synergy also matters to, and cheating does still occasionally happen.
Sudhir Apr 20, 2021 @ 7:40am
The meta has continued down the line of "process" decks that leverage the extremely high amount of potential synergy that has been made possible by all the updates/additions. If that's your jam, you'll enjoy it, but if it's not, there's really no way to escape it.

Dude just go away, several people who acutally enojoy the game have given you solid reasons why you are wrong. We know the game isn´t perfect, we know there are several ways it could imrprove and that that it is pretty challenging. But we enjoy it for the most part and we are happy to keep trolling idiots away. Don´t like it? Don´t play it!

So because you enjoy it and I do not enjoy some parts of it and criticise it I have to walk away and am considered a troll?

I think you have to learn how to deal with criticism. I know you youngsters don't know what open criticism is anymore due your praised cancel culture, but there actually are still people around who do have an opinion and don't fear to share their opinion or/and criticise something.

To criticise a game like this is pretty basic and my good right. I could also just write and endless negative review but I decided to take it here.

You commented, I disagree with your comparison and you disagree with my criticism, all fine. I opened this thread and not you, so if one walks away then it is you.

Grow up buddy, the world does not evolve around YOU. lmao.

But would you say that as a casual player you are forced in to buying decks/cards ? Because what I currently unlock isn't all that cool.
