KARDS - The WWII Card Game

KARDS - The WWII Card Game

No one is going to play this game on mobile if it's only available on top tier phones.
As the title says. Make it compatible on anything lower than the top tier iphones and galaxys, that's it.

Either not possible or not easy.

KARDS uses the Unreal Engine - And a part of the problem/delay 1939 have been having with mobile release, specifically for iOS, is that Apple mandates for KARDS to be using the latest version of Unreal Engine. Therefore 1939 kept having to update the game in a major way several times over to the newer Unreal Engine versions - And these versions come with higher hardware demand requirements.

I have a Galaxy A13, it can run anything so far. For example it runs Wild Rift on 60 fps on the highest graphics so I very much doubt it can't run a card game where the background is 2d and only the cards and effects are 3d...

Okay I'm trying to find out what information I can; according to this:
https://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy_a13-11402.php

I'm seeing that your Samsung Galaxy A13 uses a Mali-G52 GPU, so based off that and the information I posted above (https://docs.unrealengine.com/5.0/en-US/android-development-requirements-for-unreal-engine) it's not supported by the Unreal Engine 5.1.1 that KARDS mobile uses I'm sorry to say. :steamsad:

Well i have my frustration about that way early when i tried to join beta for mobile version and saw that it needs at least 6-8 gb of ram to play with. Out of curiosity i downloaded it anyway on my 3 year old entry level phone and at least it started and let me see the log in screen but when i tried to enter my info the ram has just gave up and i needed to restart my phone. Hopefully one day they will make this game medium tier hardware friendly enough to play it on laptops / phones without the game make them destroyed. I'm already waiting for overheating issues while playing the mobile version too. It's just sad to experience this in a card game.

This is sad, even more for me cause i waited for the mobile port, since my pc can't run the game which is silly since i have the more than the minimum requirements

"No one is going to play this game on mobile if it's only available on top tier phones."
Except those with top tier phones. And those are much more likely to buy packs and gimicks with real money.

It is one thing to say "I use a budget phone, could you please make this available for lesser phones?" but right out demanding and threatening/predicting NO ONE will buy anything if they don't grant you your demand is a little bit pretentious.

For whatever reason they use the Unreal engine and it has always been power hungry and sensitive regarding specs and off-brand hardware. Maybe it was the wrong decision to pick Unreal but it is way too late now to change this, so the devs have to stick with it. They spent so much time now on going mobile and can't affort to delay that any further. We didn't have a new expansion for almost a year now, if they don't move on they'll start bleeding players. And as much as it sucks for you that Kards won't work on your budget phone - it sucks for EVERYONE when Kards doesn't get updated. And from the dev's perspective there isn't much incentive to invest even more resources on assuring people with budget phones can play their game most likely for free.
I am free to play myself and haven't spent a dime yet but that's why I also don't complain about their tech choices. The game didn't run well on my old PC either but that was me insisting on still using Windows 7 and using a graphics card that wasn't particularly good even back then when I bought it 10+ years ago.
Maybe the question to ask here is, how much for a phone is considered budget?

But their requirements don't match this in reality, only thing it says, you need android 5 or above and 4gb ram or something similar

Yeah says "Android 8", "Recommended 4GB+ RAM" - But the thing with Android devices though is that it's not just one manufacture like Samsung (or in the case of iOS, it's only Apple), meaning that there is literally HUNDREDS of different Android mobile devices out there with all different kinds of hardware components which factors into too many varieties and variables that cannot all be accommodated for to being supported.

Either wait for self phone upgrade/wait till developer can optimize their port for lower spec phone.

LMAO, this move to port the game to mobile was to enter a more casual and wide market
