Keep in mind there are only so many successful combinations, so your goal is to have the most successful and consistent combinations available and to make those plays.
What is net decking anyway?
I have 5 different decks. One is a brit air deck. I used to reach top 400 with that deck under the old system.
Then I have U.S. inf deck. Got to level 2 under the current system, but couldn't get any further. Even after switching decks.
Then there are other 3 that are not my style(german blitz, british commonwealth, and one soviet deck).
I don't play Japan out of principle. I think their mechanics are abominable.
If im pretty sure of losing in a long drawn out game I will for sure play it super agressive with barely any unit trading and up my chance of winning that particular game by about 10%.
it feels like this sometimes. especially in the draft mode. i don't know about you guys, but i get the most awful draft combinations, and then once i'm in the round robin, my opponents feel like they were able to custom design their decks, so consistent are their unit numbers and synergies.
if you despise discord then you can maybe watch DynamoD77 on stream or his youtube channel, as well as ToDieIsGain's streams (late night for North Americans and morning for most of Europe)
You need to be lucky
LUCK > SKILL
Then how do you explain that there are mostly the same people in the top 100?
I'm not Mr. jt7711 but I agree with him, so to speak on his behalf, here I go!
I think once you reach field marshall or officer or whatever its called you can't drop off so easily or at least that's what I think. Also, perhaps some of the top 100 players suffer from some sort of autistic spectral disorder which in turn gives them A GREAT memory buff and so forth. Captain, correct me if I'm wrong, please.
EDIT: A more sinister cause which I'm not implying is taking place HERE (far from it!) is when there's win-trades happening. Happened to another card game I was so lucky to be a part of the community, Captain.
EDIT NUMBER TWO: I almost forgot. Suppose you have a 52% win rate, yeah? It's important to win that one game that gives you 2 stars in a row and to lose the games that would drop you a rank down as theres a bit of a leeway with the demotion process. You can stay at 0 stars for like 2 losses.
maybe they play the cheat decks, like the baby kanone, or those discard your entire hand decks. those decks are so lame but they exploit broken mechanics, so there is nothing you can really do about it, except build your own exploit deck?
However, that means that the officer's club is more exclusive now and not a given. Which I am fine with. The only problem is that the end of month reward is utter crap if you didn't reach FM (whereas under the old system you'd still get several packs).
Also, the new system is still new. All of us were thrown back at rank 25. That means there is a fierce competition among the final 5 ranks. However, everybody that managed to get FM will start at rank 6. The higher everybody gets and the quicker the good players hit FM, the less competition you'll face. It just takes some time put everybody at their place after a reset like that.
I don't like the new system, the old one was not only ore generous with rewards, it had also more diversity in decks (since everybody had reasons to play all nations main) and it was much more enjoyable to have 5 seperate FM that were easier to get instead of a single hard to get FM. Still, I will not untimately judge it yet after just two months # gvie it some more time to settle.
Its just as I said sooner, while luck do have a great role knowing your matchups and when to play greedy vs when to play agressive to go snag an extra 10-15% winrate in those unwinnable situation put you ahead of the pack.
At the end of the day thats what youre looking into is upping your winrate as much as you can by controlling what you can control. Sore losers that only ever think they lose to bad luck (and imaginary cheater) will never progress.
