Hope you enjoy the game, I like its background but hate the unbalanced cards design.
Well it might depend on the level of professionality. I am working at a software development company with round about 1200 employees and we did not experience any real problems keeping our productivity up with most people working from home.
Second question about if this i a p2w? I bought a "beginners set" with 10 packs for 19dollars. Its not needed but based on how much I imidiately loved this game it felt right to sponsor. Some mention the grind as slow but I would rather say its absolute perfect. Its not that hard to grind one pack / day if you fulfill daily quests. Or you can always do as I do - Grind up to a draft =) A draft costs 1,5 packs (grind money) but you will get alot more playtime for what you buy. At worst, if you 0-3 and fail hard on a draft you will still get one pack and probably 2 grindmoney (it means 1,2 packs at worst when you pay 1,5packs).
If you like hearthstone you should try this - its better ;)
Again it’s all speculation but I don’t think it’s that unfair to say a small Indy dev has to delay because of something like COVID.
It's free, so try it, but not really worth the time I think. When / if they release the Mobile version there's probably going to be a surge of new players for a while, but overall I don't think the game will get anywhere.
WIth the seemingly low player count matchmaking is currently just broken. I have given up to reach FM with all nations and just do the daily missions.
Also the decks I am encountering are getting more and more frustrating with most of them being brit commando/HQ hp regen ,rush or resistance decks.
Those are just my 2 cents.
Game isnt dead. But... Just like you I just started out a week ago. I advice u to leave it. Its full of rusher decks. You'll be playing against the same decks again and again.
Maybe they've been focusing on the campaign stuff, but it seems like no one in the dev team has any love for the UI. Changes in officer club rating/ranking points isn't shown after match, while they put tons of effort in buttoning up the achievements and daily reward notification system. When you have over 2,000 users that make it to the officers club each month, there is zero excuse not to focus on improving the OC experience.
Perfect example of the lack of love: The stupid end-of-turn countdown has been broken from day one. Anyone who plays the game, sees the mildly annoying issue where it not properly reset at the end of turn/end of match, and carries over to the next turn/match. Is it a blocker bug? No, of course not. It's just mildly annoying. But to any dev that is actively playing the game each day, that's the type of annoying quality of life changes that devs bug the ♥♥♥♥ out of their pals to fix. And therefor, gets fixed.
So either their UI guy/girl left, or that none of the devs with any influence play the game regularly.
(Who really knows? Maybe they've been hard at work on a full UI rebuild that will come out any day)
However it is still the beginning of the season. If you can remain in the top 50 until end of season, I will be truly impressed!
