Black screen & Out of video memory Issue

So i've just installed this, I lunch the game, and black screen for 10-20 seconds untill it tells me "Out of video memory, trying to allocate space". Occasionaly it would give me a UE4 Crash reporter with the following -

I've got a somewhat oldish laptop, nontheless I run hearthstone, stellaris and other games fine so shouldnt be a problem.

Hope theres a solution for this, as I am too lazy to fixin by myself!

i have this problem frequently last week. (very frustrated when you are winning) Not sure if related to recent Windows updates. However after update my AMD card driver it never happen again.

The difference is my Kards usually crashed during the game and show captioned error. Instead showing black screen at startup.

I'm also having it on my laptop. I could play KARDS on it without any problems in the past but noticed the problem a couple of days ago. I can run other card games without any problems, e.g. Shadowverse, Gwint, etc. Oh, I've got 8GB RAM...

Any suggestions/solutions?

Just joining to say that I'm also suffering from this. I've installed the game recently, and I was jsut testing it out, bug those issues are ruining everything :/

Just wanted to add that I didn't have the above problem at the beginning; it started a while ago, probably after one of the recent updates...

The problem is clearly on the game's side as I can run without any problems e.g. Artifact, Shadowverse, Gwent, Faeria, Duelyst, MTG Arena, and many more...

I think I read somewhere that the game does not work with onboard graphics chips, but I cant find the source at the moment.

This has happened to me multiple times today and has rendered the game unplayable, I am not able to finish a single game before it crashes. Sent all the logs, hope they fix it.

@Freyer_O You need more RAM and laptops are horrible gaming computers, and will always suffer from overheating....trust me i've been there.

I've updated my BIOS and GPU drivers and... it WORKS!

The source is the OFFICIAL KARDS website HIsendam , I will get you a link at end of this reply. Just so ANYONE that plays on a laptop or lower end desktop is aware, at trhis time it is RECOMMENDED YOU DO NOT PLAY THE WITH A ONBOARD GPU.

This is for 2 very Good reasons:

1 . HEAT and more HEAT. Do not assume because your card FAN is quiet that your GPU is not running very hot (Like 150-170 F on my liquid cooled machine ! ) with the current KARDS build there has to date NEVER been a optimization pass at all beyond the alpha state pass. This is information given to me straight from THOMAS himself in a email to my inquiry on the very subject of heat and current build.

2. There is just NO resources the DEV team has right now to commit to the needed quality pass on optimizing the game for system performance , it will be done towards the very END of the Early Access period. This , again , is straight from Thomas to me .

You can try and run it and it may work, it also may melt your laptops GPU at some point. I am only passing along the information and offering a bit of advise.....IF you do run the game on a laptop that has a onboard (Motherboard Integrated) GPU , I HIGHLY recommend making a fresh RESTORE point every week or so maybe, and also just keep a eye on the HEAT your GPU is dealing with.

Do this whether the laptop is warm or hot to the touch or not, just because its easy to so, and the smart thing to do in this situation.

I'cant join the game i've already tryed to install it 3 times, if someone could help me my notebook has a GEFORCE but i cannot open it "UE4 CRASH REPORT"

I think it's Windows last update. Just a hunch. I'm rolling back and seeing if it helps.
