GPU at 95-100%
Fantastic, Vsync on 1920x1200

GTX 960 2GB
i7 6700 4GHz

It's horrible, the GPU doubles in temperature, from 29C idle to 65C

Are you complaining about temperature or GPU load?

What do you think?

Of course the temperature goes up when the GPU is at 95-100% but WHY is it at 95-100%?
More graphical games doesn't tax the GPU like this, heck even encoding videos with the GPU doesn't do it.

Do you have vsync disabled? If its the case you technically told your gpu to run at full-force.
If the load is that high with vsyc - de-dust the gpu, update drivers, test again. If you still run into trouble you might have found a bug. Good job! =)

Early access usually means poor optimisation.
And ur gpu is bottlenecking.
Got 970 and gpu is about 85-95 % load, performance degradation with base scale.
Expected from my part.

What frames are u achieving?

I Have Fantastic Settings
VSYNC ON
As stated in my original post.
Stationeers is the only troublemaker.

I get a constant 60 fps since VSYNC is ON. That should prevent the game from actually racing away.

I have a 1070 and run on best settings with V-Sync disabled but I am locked at 60 frames and my GPU is also running at full load.

VSYNC is highly misunderstood - it locks the moniter refresh rate - NOT the FPS. The result is the FPS Are attempting to keep up with the moniters native refresh rate and that (usually being 60hz) comes out to 60 FPS; the problem is the memory - it's likely eating up the GPU Memory due to the vsync itself - try turning V-sync OFF and see if it improves.

And Don't forget: Vsync is one of those settings you have to actually restart the game to change :p

Nysch: You don't know what you are talking about. Google Vsync and read...
I can easly get above 60 fps with vsync off which should in turn lower the demand on the GPU if it doesn't have to draw more than 60 frames per second... not the oppossite.

Gtx960 is pretty :poop: so it will always run at 100% in demanding games like this. Although 65 degrees is really good, you should not complain about it.

I myself have a gtx 1080ti and it runs at 40-50% in stationeers. But it does for some reason max out at 100% when i tab out of the game which is quite annoying because my gpu can easly hit 80 degrees at full load...

Without VSYNC I'm always above 60fps sometimes I'm at 120fps for longer periods which shows me that the GPU shouldn't be at 95-100% with VSYNC on... I guess I'll have to wait until an update fixes it.

You are not alone, GTX980, i7-4790 @4 GHz, 16 GB RAM and my GPU load is always over 45% during play stationeers, CPU around 45-70% - no matter which settings, low or fantastic. All other games running @ 30 % maybe lot more or less.
NoBlackThunder Jan 13, 2018 @ 5:56pm
Unity has always high GPU loads by default its the engine. And cpu temps 70-80 even 90 i think are pretty safe as long as you guys stay below 100 C ;)
Adam De Beers Jan 15, 2018 @ 9:22am
i7, 32GB ram, gtx 1080, advanced base...25-40 fps on maxed settings compared to War Thunder maxed settings 130+ fps

Anything above 60 and I start to worry, usually it's around 55-60 for complex and heavy scenarios. It's still early access so some optimizations can be expected down the line (I hope)

Thank you for report,

we will have a look at this issue.
