Of course the temperature goes up when the GPU is at 95-100% but WHY is it at 95-100%?
More graphical games doesn't tax the GPU like this, heck even encoding videos with the GPU doesn't do it.
If the load is that high with vsyc - de-dust the gpu, update drivers, test again. If you still run into trouble you might have found a bug. Good job! =)
And ur gpu is bottlenecking.
Got 970 and gpu is about 85-95 % load, performance degradation with base scale.
Expected from my part.
What frames are u achieving?
I Have Fantastic Settings
VSYNC ON
As stated in my original post.
Stationeers is the only troublemaker.
I get a constant 60 fps since VSYNC is ON. That should prevent the game from actually racing away.
And Don't forget: Vsync is one of those settings you have to actually restart the game to change :p
Nysch: You don't know what you are talking about. Google Vsync and read...
I can easly get above 60 fps with vsync off which should in turn lower the demand on the GPU if it doesn't have to draw more than 60 frames per second... not the oppossite.
I myself have a gtx 1080ti and it runs at 40-50% in stationeers. But it does for some reason max out at 100% when i tab out of the game which is quite annoying because my gpu can easly hit 80 degrees at full load...
Without VSYNC I'm always above 60fps sometimes I'm at 120fps for longer periods which shows me that the GPU shouldn't be at 95-100% with VSYNC on... I guess I'll have to wait until an update fixes it.
Anything above 60 and I start to worry, usually it's around 55-60 for complex and heavy scenarios. It's still early access so some optimizations can be expected down the line (I hope)
we will have a look at this issue.
