For me he's been living from a 20 yo hit masterpiece, that he half wrote if not less.

In my opinion Metal Gear 1 and Metal Gear 2:SS were better games than MGS 1 since:
1.Kojima didn't focused on adding long and pointless cutscenes.
2.And they were the only stealth games at their time while at 1998 we had games such as Thief 1 that was superior than MGS 1.
As for Death Stranding sales, I only consider it successful only if Sony or another publisher funds a sequel for it.(Which is a much better source on determining whether a game was a success or a failure than the producer saying that it was successful.)
2.The first metal gear game that wasn't made by him were the 2 NES games.(And after that Ghost Babel and after that metal gear games were he was just a producer.)
3.And, this game was his idea according to that source.(He also liked to make a zombie type game in metal gear franchise)
Maybe if you played either MGS1/2/3/4/5 or PW, you'd understand that "If" his name was on it, the MGS game was more than just a game. It was meant to delve into full warfare and it's affects, especially on individual psyche. That's how we get great bosses and great moments in the series. Not Fake Morpheus talking about Hell and the Chosen one.
But I'm guessing the people here are like "Oh my gawd Matt Mercer is my enemy but also my friend, so powerful omg".
My personal opinion is this is a good game, but nowhere near a good "Metal Gear" game.

According to a modder that modded Survive, the lord of dust is actually named kaiju so I think that part of article about Survive is actually true unlike some other parts of it.(Since I don't know whether it's true or not I won't put it on the original post.)
I also read somewhere that Survive uses some cut ideas of MGS V. Mainly hunger and thirst system.(That whole cutscene of Ocelot giving Venom Snake a water canteen wasn't just for show.)
As it's own Survive is a good game.(Similar to good spin off games that we have gotten from lots of game franchises.)
Lmao, BTW MGS games have always been games, nothing more nothing less.
Just because journalists give them more spotlight compare to other stealth games doesn't make them more than some military stealth games that were popular.
