Death Stranding is a boring exploration game so far.

Saw the trailer. the moment I saw the baby's ♥♥♥ I couldn't take the story seriously and from what Iit looks like, the story just has the purpose of confusing the players.

Then we get to gameplay which is a kind of a exploration game similar to shenmue.(Have more fucus on exploration than on combat and stealth)

But the difference between Shenmue and this game is that in shenmue you have a lively city with tons of things to do in it(playing arcade games,talking to people,practicing martial arts,collecting stuff,searching for those sailors etc) but from what it looks like the whole world of Death Stranding is just an empty open world similar to PP.

Really have no hope for this game.

Isn't it pretty strange that after Fukushima left the story of MGS became such garbage ? Even some COD story seems to have a better story compared to mgs5.

Makes sense I suppose, sometimes different directions are taken and a game can go sidewards.

Resident evils 1, 2, 3, cv had that certain style, 4 changed that, I'm not saying for the worst but it doesn't please everybody.

I don't know what happened to silent hill, 1 was good, but didn't really like 2.

For resident evil they wanted to change the style of the game, making it an action horror game, it didn't worked that great in the horror departement but at least the games are complete, now with RE2 coming out we will see what's up.

For MGS it was not a change of gameplay, it was more like.... more like the person behind the MGS story is not here anymore, that's probably why MGS4 have sooooooooooo many boring cutscenes and a very dull story, nothing really made sense in MGS4 when you have played MGS2.

Yes it's a copy past of Metal gear, at some point it feels like the empty open world of TPP combined with MGV without the crafting, seems like Kojima doesn't have any more ideas.

What people don't really seem to understand though, is that Confusing/Dark doesn't always mean complex and good. The game has potentional to become an absolute mess that only fanboys will aprove of.

If people buy a 35$ demo then everything can be a masterpiece I guess, so far on PC MGV will have more players than in Death stranding.

When you think about it, god of war is a pretty simple game with simple platforming and combat. The reason it's so successful is becsuse it's well polished and entertaining so death stranding might also do well simply by being enertaining in its story and wellll polished in appearance.
