Why all the hate exactly?

Before starting, I'd like to mention, I am a diehard MGS fan, so I have been following up with the events before TPP's release and after. These are all based on MY opinion, feel like I didn't need to say that, but people can sometimes be that stupid on the internet that they forget what opinions are.

Honestly Metal Gear Survive looks pretty fun and it already features the well received gameplay that TPP has and even expands upon it.
It includes a new melee system and adds new weapons to play with. COOP as well, a new survival system (Like MGS3) and actual base customization. Oh and also a new storyline (Albeit a bad one, MGSV didn't feature a good one as well to begin with, but this is a spin off as well). Its definitly not a "mod" as people call it.

The reused assets reason is just dumb...I am pretty sure the fact that they reused that bucket or that building model from TPP won't affect the gameplay much...Its simply a way to avoid costy development. Besides the models already look good

People simply hating on Konami for the Konami-Kojima clash isn't that good of a reason as well...It happened 2 years ago for christ sake, can't we move on? Seems like some "fans" won't buy anything as long as it doesn't have the "A Hideo Kojima Game" title.

Thats all my thoughts given. I was curious about what people hate exactly from this game.

Well TBH even if I like Kojima it's not a reason to spit on Konami, if I have to spit on them it's for their actions for a game, not how they do their stuff, MG survive is not even out yet it as a lot of hate, no one played the damn game at his fullest so hating it is very stupid, MGS5: TPP gameplay is awesome and MG survive bet on it, so we know we won't have a lot of story and such but that's alright, some people have over 3000 hours by playing FOB so if survive is like this too then 40$ is by far worth it, one thing that can ruin this game are cheaters depending on how stuff work and microtransactions, wich was fine in TPP since you gained MB coins so if you are patient you can buy everything you needed.

People jump on bandwagons because they lack the imagination and free thinking ablities to form their own opinions. Konami did Kojima dirty but thats no reason to hate on everything Konami does. Im actually looking forward to playing MG: Survive with my friends and co-workers. Even if I only get 10-20 hours out of it for $40 thats almost quadruple I would get going to the movies. People should play it THEN pass judgement, you can always get a refund

When it comes to developers i dont give a DAMN about internal politics. I look at the game, not who made it.

My opinion is that this is a bit of an odd idea but new ideas are what forge decent games. As such i am reserved but interested.

I think it looks like a fun dead-rising/survival game hybrid. melee looks a lot like dead rising's style. I'm sure it will be fun as long as you treat it as a spinoff and keep it arms length from the metal gear fandom.

that said, I have concerns about konami and microtransactions and how the possibility of them ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ this game over with them, much like late game mgsV items that take days/months of real world time or you can pay.

They should make the end boss Hideo, considering he did insert himself into the game and Konami does have the ip.

Yeah exactly, it looks fun though it would've been just a bit better if it was like $30 bucks instead of 40. Though i hope that after this, they take a break before making a new entry in the series... not just rush it or something. Meanwhile i hope they can remaster MGS 3 Snake Eater in fox engine for us lol

Not a fan of survival games, and definitely not a fan of co-op/mp :( I would rather have more mgs v, with less helicopter and no fob crap. Kind of hoping this fails, so their next game is more like 5

The thing i really dont understand is why Konami is viewed as like one evil guy who threw Kojima out. Im not sure we even know what happened between him and the company but Konami contains many good devs who are just trying to earn money as its their job. sure it aint metal gear but im personally excited to see the fox engine being used again and with Coop features.

Because they are blatantly using the Metal Gear name to sell what is at best and "average" game that in no way what-so-ever fits the creator-established Canon of the series, and they are doing so specifically as a petty, spiteful action to hurt the Creator of that series and his fanbase.

Personally, I have zero love for Kojima. I'd even go so far as to say I straight up do not like the guy at all and his fanbase is borderline cringe-worthy (as is plainly evident in this Forum). But nobody, not even a professional troll like Kojima, deserves to have their life's legacy stolen from them and sh♥t on.

The game is not even out yet so you can't judge it, also Konami own the franchise not Kojima, besides the game looks great from what I saw for the beta.

Blizzard north with diablo 3, they played it cool, constructive, and picked the best time to make their comments, and the reply from the lead developer swore and lost his position.

Weird how a game such as Bloodbath Kavkaz got TONS of flack for being a Hotline Miami ripoff (and looking like trash) but people still defend the petrified turd, because of "muh bandwagons" and promises of "coop".

This seems like a similar case where people will blindly defend something (as well as hate) because of the idea of another freeroam coop zombie shooter. Nothing about this game seems promising in the least bit except for the "coop" aspect. Mind the BIG redflag that microtransactions have been confirmed and we all saw what that did the MGS5's singleplayer FOB system.

On another note, "Kojima doesn't deserve the metal gear franchise" prettty sure anyone that has stayed throughout the development of Metal Gear games deserves the right of being a contributor. He was the creator of the MGS series from the start so please open a wiki for once in your life before you spout some inane comment like that.

If you like the game good on you, but anyone can have their opinions.

I just said I don't like the guy, so I'm annoyed that you have provoked me to defend him. You are saying that the man who created an IP, does NOT deserve to keep it. Either you yourself are a HORRENDOUSLY "deluded fool" (your own words) or you're just trying way too hard to be a dumbass and start a flame fight with fans.
