Being a WIRED torpedo, that means the shooter can GUIDE the torpedo AROUND your decoys and noisemakers.
So the MOST IMPORTANT THING when an American sub shoots at you in 1984 or 2000 is you must FORCE HIM TO EVADE! (this will force him to break his wire to the torpedo).
Once the wire is broken the torpedo is MUCH LESS likely to find you and is more susceptible to decoys and noisemakers.
When you detect a sub attack it inmediately! Give no chance to him and manage to cheat and evade the torpedoes before they lock you conbinating drastic course changing, decoys and top speed of the ship.
There are no magic tricks, wou must be much more intelligent than the AI.
Thank you
