This is the ported version of the PS2 version which has 7 different routes rather than just 5.
Will there be an 18+ version hosted elsewhere?
So this version is still missing a few routes? Why not go for the Shuffle Essence+ edition?
Guess I'll sit this version out, almost got my hopes up. Good luck.
Still is nice to see a new visual novel publisher.
Edit: make an all age edition from Essence+ and sell it on Steam and aditionally the +18 version on DLsite, Nutaku or Denpasoft is the right idea.
It's a good thing to see the licence come back on PC, but I'm sad (and a little frustrated) to see it isn't the most complete version only because it must be published on Steam and to do this, 18+ content has to be cut. So as for today, like some people on this thread, I'll only pick the most complete version (Essence+, which has even more routes) when it'll be out on English.
I'll not say I know how licensing works because i'd be lying. But I find it rather sad to see publishers restraining themselves only because they think Steam censored versions are, and will sell, better than the most complete and/or uncensored versions would sell on MG, Denpasoft or Nutaku. Visibility isn't everything, and censorship is becoming one of the most checked criteria when checking if a VN is worth buying.
EDIT: ah crap I misread, thanks Haken
To conclude : stop asking 18+ patches, they don't exist for a console version.
Emm... you speak as if a port of the original content back into a console game is impossible. (It is not. Both Muv-luv and the Grisaia franchise has done this recently.)
Making a patch is definitely the way to go. Simply releasing the censored version of an eroge is a bit... eh.
They speak as if H-scenes never existed here in the first place, but since this game is 18+ originally, that's not true. Sure, the port they are working on doesn't have them, but the game itself does. (And moreover, this particular game does actually have some pretty important story elements in certain H-scenes. Won't go into detail due to spoilers, but yeah...)
I really hope they will consider adding in a ported patch with the original content, as a censored release is quite a waste. Seeing as Mangagamer's 18+ version is no longer for sale, this will be the only English version available legally, so if it has no 18+ content, that will no longer be acessible for the English market.
The biggest problem with this is that the uncensored parts are from other versions of the game, and I don't think they're aiming for a mixing like SP. What I see here is a company that just saw the All Ages version, and decided to port it as-is because it's the only one ready for Steam. In opposite, SP had to rewrite everything to mix the consoles and PC versions of Grisaia, to include the console addings and the PC scenes. So I really doubt about a 18+ patch. Well, it's not a doubt, I'm sure there'll never be an official one. Maybe if someone discovers how to manipulate the game files, we'll have a fan one. But I honestly think an official one will never come for the "on the stage" version.
