I need some advice, im a beginning player.
I just started this game tonight. It s a bit frustrating because I dont know or understand some of the mechanics of the game. Ive looked up some guides online and they help quite a bit. Im wondering if anyone could post up the best guide they have found?
Im at the point now where I have to find the meteor. I got very close to it but then I ended up freaking out and it sent me back to the main camp. Whats the best way for me to find that meteor crash site again?
Im hoping this game has an end to it. Is there a sort of campaign, or is it just an open ended survival experience? I cant seem to find an answer on the net. If you play long enough, is there an ending?

You need to be very quick when going for meteor crash-sites, since most of them are in territory your Apes don't know, therefore fear grips at the backs of their minds until they have a chance to claim the territory. Your Ape freaked out because his 'Will-power' got drained due to fear and got sent packing back to your camp.

You need to look at your map, and you should be able to see where the crash-site is at, provided the devs haven't made any changes to the map that prevent it. I myself haven't made it pass the first encampment, so I can't help with your question on whether the game has an end or not, but I CAN tell you that the best thing to do when going for a crash-site, is to have as many Ape Babies as you can hanging unto your back when you go to inspect it.. as it's the best way to gain points with which to evolve.

I hope I was helpful in some way, shape or form.

You need to conquer your fear to expand, which involves analysing your surroundings quickly with senses. Eventually there's a white ball in front of you which you run up to and then will be prompted to conquer your fear.

There is an ending, but I won't spoil it. Theoretically you could keep playing forever though.

Thanks. I will bring a baby then once I can get to the meteor. I never saw a map. There is a map? In the lower right hand corner there is a circle that kinda looks like a map, but I think it just shows dots for the members of your group?

THanks. I actually learned about focusing on the areas by watching a video on youtube. It will probably be best for me to go back to that area and do that as fast as I can. I did have that white spot show up last night but I was unable to get to it fast enough! That part is hard because the darn alligator keeps getting me. I havent figured out yet how to fight well. I made a stick spear, but ive not been able to push the button right to fight the gator, and its really hard to even see it because of all of the confusing graphics on the screen since im scared.

The alligator attacking is what got me too.. I had 2 alligators coming at me, and a few anacondas so, be careful.

Dear maldorf,

Sounds good. I may someday return to the game.
