behavior of clan members

what happens to clan members when you just let them in settlement and go exploring alone?
do they take care of themselves, meaning they eat, drink and sleep?
or i need to take care of all of them...and bring them in all expeditions..?

on first try i went only for solo exploration...and at some point all other members were dead...not sure why?

also...how the hk can i grab foliage on trees with keyboard and mouse controls...?
i just felt like a rock and died because i couldn't grab a frikin branch... -,-

The clan is self-sufficient when you're away (their food/water/sleep stats are frozen).

Their stats drop gradually when you're at the settlement.

If you spend a lot of time at the settlement crafting, identifying, stockpiling, activating neurons etc. make sure you eat, drink and sleep before you leave.

...(and make sure nobody has an item in their right hand that will keep them from eating, drinking and sleeping with you).

To grab leaves and swing hold Space when passing thru them. Don't try to time the grab, just hold Space on the way down.

Don't die after spending a long time away, i think there's a bug that makes it to where the Clan hasn't taken care of themselves if you respawn as one of them after dying out in the world. It's happened to me more than once

No bug, it works as explained above.

If you spend a lot of time at or near the settlement make sure the clan is fed, watered and rested before you leave or you could respawn in a new primate who's in terrible condition.
