Adults Died how to advance?
I was playing as an adult, I got attacked and bled to death before I could find something to stop the bleeding. It switched me to another adult, who dropped dead for no reason, this happened until all the adults were dead, then it moved me to a baby.

I have read that an "outsider" should spawn near the nest however, I have been playing as a baby for several hours real time and several in-game days and no "outsiders" have spawned. I have pressed "E", "Q" and "Right clicked" For "sound" and identified as much as I can without leaving the nest. but no apes have spawned.

How long should this take?

Yes, a new outsider should spawn if you have no adults left. It usually spawns *very* close to the settlement location.

If adults were dropping dead "for no reason" after you took control of them: don't give clan members anything to hold in their right hand when they're at the settlement - they won't eat or drink with something in their right hands.

I had only played as one other member of my clan. I don't think he had anything in his hands at all, but I don't know for sure.

Any idea how long it should take for another to spawn? it's been about 4 in-game days and I haven't been able to locate another adult.

Same scenario nothing spawned in range there is an adult outside camp area but too far and Baby panics..That one has been there all game but I could never do anything with it..It looks panicked too...Wasted too much time not having fun so I'll bin this and give a bad review.

You can't advance without at least one adult, that's why, and if you leave your apes alone at camp they do not sleep, eat or water themselves, so you must go back to sort them out at least once every two days. If you left them alone ages, that's why they died.

Honestly guys if you've lost ALL your adult and elder primates you might wanna just start a new Lineage using what you've learned.

Not every lineage is viable. :steamsad:

Finally an answer to say why.
No indication they are getting sick they just die.
Probably why 80% get first achieve the it goes downhill from there.
Achievements do serve a purpose Devs they show you how many buyers enjoyed your game till the end..Not many in this one.

So starting again with a baby is not a new lineage then? Guessing Darwin was wrong!

why dont the young grow? do you need to evolve for it to happen?

You need to pass a generation in the evolution screen, but I'm pretty sure you can't do that without at least one adult. They go from baby to adult to elder, and only genes carried by the adults and elders will be kept in an evolution leap, so you need to be mindful of that before you do.

A baby primate wouldn't survive on its own, so it makes sense.

I have 100% achievements, still finding new things 300 hours in. This game needs a lot of patience and determination, it's not for everyone.

Take a look in reality any baby other than a Human can survive. So it doesn't make sense.

Just spent another 2 hours to finally get the ape that spawned out side camp brought it back to base and it promptly died..

Time to rage quit and uninstall. Making way for a game that may be fun.

... The only baby animals that would survive on their own would be creatures who are naturally left to fend for themselves, not mammals who require milk and parental care to fend off predators and teach them how to survive. Primates certainly can't, they're next to useless as babies, and I assume you've seen a puppy or kitten? They need milk every two hours and constant warmth or they die, they certainly would not survive alone.

Did you treat whatever its problem was? All outsiders have a problem from non fatal fear and stomach ache, to hunger and bleeding which will kill them fairly quickly.

Hunger, thirst, fear, broken bones and poisoning (not bleeding).

There are two types of poisoning - one has them pounding their forehead (snakebite) and one has them puking into their hand (berry sickness). One is cured with an anti-venom food, the other with an anti-berry-sickness food or a form of water.

If you're really stuck, give them a precious stone (if you can find one - you'll hear them (they whisper to you) before you see them).

There's one very close to the Hidden Waterfall if you can figure out how to find it.

Not quite - the clan is self-sufficient when you're away (their stats are frozen).

Their stats drop gradually when you're at the settlement.

If you spend a lot of time at the settlement crafting, identifying, stockpiling, activating neurons etc. make sure you eat, drink and sleep before you leave (and make sure nobody has an item in their right hand that will keep them from eating, drinking and sleeping with you).

Huh, that's what someone told me anyway, never left them long enough to find out.
