But of course it depends from person to person. Some people enjoy the game for 100+ hours but every game has players that play the game way more than the average player. It's just the majority doesn't.
So 50 cent per hour is not great, really? I think 1 euro per hour is great value!
Instead of just racing to watch the credits roll, it's far more enjoyable to try to Discover every Landmark (there are 70+ Landmarks). Some of them are really cool and unique (like the pit-caves in the Woodlands).
I bet somebody who says they "finished" the game in 30 hours never saw those pit-caves or fought an Albatross and ate mussels on the eastern coast.
The game is what you make of it - set your own goals. IMHO it's one of the best "Rewarding Exploration" games available.
Worry not, Ancestors 2 is "done on paper" and the team is working on a new IP.
Also, lots of game have little things off to the side you can do. That's not really a big content aspect, it's just a nice little addition. It doesn't really seem like there are hundreds of hours of content here, like there are for other games, in the same category, at the same price. It looks cool though, so maybe one day, but even on sale right now it's not worth it, in my opinion.
Like Anthracite said, this game isn't for everyone.
