I know only 4 conditions: Cold, Poison, Broken bones, Bleeding. But there may be more
I can't imagine which one is "holding a mouth and screaming". Maybe he is in panic and you just need to comfort it? I needed to comfort my first one before those two with broken bones but I don't remember what animation it had.
THIRST ~ Holding throat, gasping ~ Cracked/pierced cocos, khat leaves, berries
FRACTURE ~ Holding arm, groaning ~ Any item which heals broken bones (eg. horsetail or khat leaves)
FOOD POISONING ~ Coughing, vomiting ~ Any item which heals food poisoning (eg any cocos, mushrooms)
VENOM POISONING ~ Holding head, groaning ~ Any item which heals venom poisoning (eg any cocos, giant snails)
FRIGHT ~ Looking around, whimpering ~ Groom them to comfort
Best combination of items to take with you when searching for multiple outsider apes are a cracked cocos and some khat leaves, since between them they will cure all ills.
Much more immersive to actually try to read their body language and respond accordingly - just my humble opinion.
How do you communicate without language? Not with a magic ruby.
