You can go one step further and advance years into the future too, you'll spawn somewhere randomly with an established settlement, generations ahead.
Any skills you don't reinforce become inactive and you need to spend energy to reactivate them. You can reinforce 1 node for each baby in the clan so more is better. Once you advance the generation you can't gain energy till you've got some babies in the clan so no reactivating dormant skills.
They dont need to eat or drink, having 2 nearby babies grants more neurological energy
I've had four babies in a row - so, many years worth of pregnancies, and have never noticed my guy's life expectancy going down as a result of aging.
If it worked like this, having babies would be too punishing to the clan overall.
