I forget which map it was, but there was one of the warmer ones that I was looking at going "jesus, this couldn't be more idiotically laid out for a hospital design"... fully half the space was completely useless. Fortunately, most maps aren't that bad..
Yeah Grockel Bay has a very weird layout. Loads of corridors and stupid small 4x4 rooms you can't do anything useful with (I just threw down an Indoor Fountain them to make them look pretty for the Attractiveness requirement).
Melt Downs is the other 1 with its terrible layout, corridors and awkwardly sized rooms. Flemington is an annoying one because the paths between buildings are so long.
But this is part of the game. I can't see it going to change because you have to work with what you've got.
Maybe they would consider adding a sandbox level, once you get all hospitals with 3stars, you get a nice build your own Hospital including main walls/floor plan. Would be a nice "reward" for people who want to build the most efficient hospitals they can without having to play tetris with room shapes.
must have been grockel bay. its a pretty crazy layout.
This is an interesting idea <3
