If you did the above correctly, it works exactly like you're awnting it to. I use it and I can do stuff on my second and third monitors with TPH staying maximized on the first screen.
So that every time I use my 2nd monitor, say to search the web or switch music or a video, it doesn't minimize the game and cause 3 secconds of screen flashing while the graphics card minimizes the full screen mode.
This is why full screen windowed mode is basically standard on most games these days. Anyone who has more than one monitor on their PC is going to need it to make use of the seccond monitor.

Nope, if I do that it gets rid of the border but it still minimises the game when I click on my 2nd screen
But yeah, fullscreen borderless is standard in games nowadays (as it should be). I only see it forgotten in indie titles now and again, such as this. Hopefully they add it, but who knows if they'll notice threads like this one?
