I was enjoying this up to the point where it demanded pin point accuracy in jumping. This is where the game let's itself down in my view. It wouldn't be so bad if the game saved your progress after picking up each cube but instead you have to go back to the very start of the level and hear the same commentary over and over again. **TIP** You can mute the commentary - Believe me you will want to.
It really isn't a bad game but in the end the mixture of frustrating deaths due to poor jump mechanics and lack of awareness of where you are plus the really annoying no save option meant I could not continue any more.

Fake PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS Game, Report for Legal Violation.

The actual name of this game was Measurement Problem.

Well, this game looked really interesting, and has some nice ideas, but I can't recommend it to anyone who likes the first person puzzle genre.

The narrator is annoying, inconsistent in tone and direction, and honestly comes off as a half-baked attempt to add character to an otherwise lifeless game.

Puzzles are inconsistent in logic, even within the first 30 minutes of playtime.

Movement is very slow and boring.

And there's no narrative hook that has me engaged. This will be the first game I've ever refunded through steams system =/

Could be a pretty good title for the switch-hitting first person platformer crowd.
- I like the voice-over, gives me Pneuma: The Breathe of Life vibes.
- The stark white & black & neon environment give a really nice, Tron Holodeck obstacle course feel.
- I like the odd hinging back & forth to the jump, haven't seen that outside of Caribbean Odyssey before & it will make the speedruns look strange & possibly nauseating.
- I like that the Developer is addressing several of the issues I was having (noted below) & brought that up within 5 minutes of posting this review; that shows a good level of care for their product; thought that was worth updating to mention.


- I don't like the lag for the jump pads turning on (the voice-over does talk about patience, a number of times, but it breaks the flow of these types of games). [Developer is addressing this]

- Felt like there was a touch of lag between landing & jumping again & on some of the chains of tiny platforms, it seemed less fluid & for me that jump-pause-jump seems less fun.

- Seemed like I couldn't aim & interact while in mid-air or possibly I was just a touch out of range. [Developer is addressing this]

- Settings are lacking, game runs in a window; you can force fullscreen with Alt+Enter but the game resets between menus & between levels of the game which is not something I've ever seen before. [Developer is addressing thing

All in all, it's pretty good. Needs very minor tweaking & most of my issues are the speedrunner in me, talking.
I like the mechanics in the ten stages I got through so far, hope they get more complex & varied.
Price is a bit higher than I'd usually pay for this kind of game, especially seeing as I don't know how long it is; wish Developers would get in the habit of putting a playtime estimate on the store page.

I've only gotten through the first dozen puzzles or so, but they were awful. And my experience has been that puzzle games that are awful in the beginning never get better in the middle or end.

Every puzzle I tried provided no intellectual challenge whatsoever, consisting entirely of running from button to button and pressing them all. A few of them required some precision platforming, which was difficult because the jumping is floaty and the character swings their head every time you jump.

The game provides some decent voice acting (clearly inspired by Portal), and it seems like there may be a story later on. But the crux of any puzzle game is the puzzles; if those are bad, the entire game is bad, no matter how good the rest of it is. There are so many better options that I just can't recommend buying this one.

Measurement Problem (MP) is a decent, if short, first person puzzler with some original mechanics. Its main problem are probably some obvious similarities to Portal (you traverse a sequence of abstract, test-chamber like levels while a female voice talks to you), due to which it will automatically get compared to that game - and Portal was such an amazingly well designed, highly polished product that a decent little indie effort like MP will look a bit insipid next to it, especially since there isn't really anything that it does better or very different.

That said, if you take MP for what it is, you'll find an enjoyable first-person puzzle experience with some 3d platforming elements thrown in.

Gameplay consists mostly of finding your way to switches, which open doors or activate other elements in the chamber you're in. These other elements can be trampolines that let you jump higher, catapults that launch you in a certain direction, teleporters with coded targets, or so-called "recall pads" which allow for some interesting momentum-based puzzles when you teleport back to them while in motion. All this is embedded in a "two worlds" setting, where you have keep alternating between two different worlds to find your way. Most of these elements are well known from 2d platformers, but I haven't really seen them in a first-person puzzler before, so they still felt fairly fresh. I found the levels and puzzles competently designed, if a bit linear.

Most of the puzzles were fairly easy and straightforward, but solving them still felt like an accomplishment. The 3d platforming elements were a bit annoying in one particular level, but enjoyable in the others. Unfortunately you can easily fall into bottomless pits though, and then have to restart the level from scratch, which makes gameplay quite repetitive in levels that require precise jumping. I think it would have been more enjoyable to let the player just fall to a floor and let him try the jump again.

The narration starts out interesting, and benefits a lot from the excellent voice actor, but unfortunately peters out towards the end. Various references to quantum physics evoke a sense of mystery, but in the end they do not matter. While there is some sort of conclusion to the story, it doesn't really explain anything. Which is a pity, because some of the story ideas hinted at something interesting, and the voice actor would definitely have deserved a role that mattered more.

Graphically the game is rather bland. All gameplay takes place in abstract rooms with white or black walls, only towards the end there's a bit of neon aesthetics thrown in. The sound design is plain, but fitting for such a sterile environment.

2. Achievement hunters will get an easy 100% from this game - all 5 achievements will get unlocked automatically in the first half of the game.)

A poor man's poor man's Portal. Filled with jumping puzzles that are both easy to mess up (thanks to an imprecise, weird jump that leaves you falling to your death) and easy to break (I had to replay entire rooms several times due to puzzles having unclear, sometimes hidden steps that didn't have an easy reset point).

On top of that, the visual design is extremely boring, the music just stops instead of looping if you're in a room long enough, there are few *actual* puzzles in the game that aren't just iffy platforming (let alone GOOD puzzles), and the VA's attempts at being GLADoS fall so short that I might've preferred no VA at all. "Oh dear."

A terrible experience all around.

Despite the title and image, this is not PUBG! The game name was changed and the assets were swapped to look like it instead.
