Paraglider upgrade bug

Seen a few people mention something like this so I'm just going to add another post to the pile so the devs hopefully fix it.
I joined a friends game who was farther ahead than me. He had the paraglider, I did not. A bit later I see the paraglider bp at Alberto, I still didn't have it at this time but I just figured that it was probably there for a reason. I decided to see what was up by trying to upgrade it, it took some tech and didn't do anything. Meh, I figure it'll just apply itself later. It didn't occur to me at the time that joining my friend had sequence broken my game somehow because we had been playing in the FIRST area anyway.

Get to the city later, get paraglider. Try to upgrade it, I spend the tech, the bp disappears. I check my inventory, it's at level one. I have no recourse for this, and there are parkour challenges later that pretty much REQUIRE an upgraded paraglider to make gold.

I've submitted a bug report on the Techland site too, but I wanted to post it here so hopefully people avoid making the mistake I did. The game runs and looks great, and seems like a really well polished and finished work, but it's not, yet. Co op can seriously ♥♥♥♥ up your progression, and has some really wonky unintended consequences during certain quest sequences.

Do not join people who are further along than you, joining your friends who are behind is fine, but not the opposite. And watch out for big quests, some of them can freak out with multiple people in the game.

you would figure this issue would be hotfixed by now or they would at least have mentioned its being worked on
