Terrible UI controls for gamepad that emulates mouse and does long holds for action!
Another game UI controls ruined byt this dumb ass trend! Like who even think this was good idea?
Cyberpunk had this crap on launch but gladly with recent updates that almost fully fixed gamepad controls and let us jump between UI items by using dpad and left stick without emulating mouse drag.

I hopped that Dying Light 2 will do the same with reloaded and will actually reload controls fo UI when you play with gamepad, and make it all work just like in previous game and any other normal game, but nope, nothing was done about that!

What shocked me even more, its actually possible to control entire UI with keyboard without need for mouse! So yeah game UI actually support old fashion more comfortable controls where you simply move dpad or stick to switch between items...

BUT WHY ITS NOT ENABLED FOR GAMEPAD??? Its so simple to do when you already have this done for keyboard!

Mouse emulation with mini stick is so slow, clunky and uncomfortable! Why this trend even exist? I remember it only plagues games from Focus Home Interactive where some "genuis" publisher's creative lead pushed that horror into every game released by them, but then it started to spread like a cancer amongs other games, and i still cant understand how it happened, did no one playtest it and did not say a word about how uncomfortable it is to grad cursor with gamepad sticks instead of quickly jumping between buttons? Who decided its a good idea to use this awful UI control technique with gamepad?

Anyway, this needs to be fixed!

And another thing that needs a fix - is one more dumb ass trend - HOLDING action button to perform action!

Jeez, i dont want to wait 5 seconds for CIRCLE AROUND BUTTON TO FEEL to perform actions be it looting (except for case when you sorta pretent like you searching something inside bad... on a flood, by standing still and having arms meter away from it, probably casting magic spell that teleports items to you... or probably because someone was lazy to do walk to + crouch+pickup animation or to limit intraction distance so you would need to actually duck and come very close before interacting with items on floor... but thats another story) or closing tutorial screen, i want to press button and get action perfomed imediatelly!
Jesus, even to start a new game i have to HOLD X button for 5 seconds!

What kind of genius was thinking its a good idea to od it like that? Is that the same genius who made UI controls with gamepad a slow and clunky mouse drag that feels like game does not have native gamepad support and emulates its via some external software? Whoever did it should be fired as well as anyone who playtested it without complains and who aproved this! Looks like the skipped the very basics of good UX design!

Game should switch to simple taps for action and keep hold only for things where it makes sense like searching loot in bags or patching your injure. In every other case action should be imediated, especially in UI!
