Dying Light 2 Is Good?

Which edition to buy i am confused, if anyone already plays or played can help me
Can't even ask in their discussion forums as i dont own the game

It' a good game now. Not the Magnum Opus, but a good game. Playing that game for the story is like playing a fighting game for the lore - you want to kill stuff; preferably with a lot of gore and blood and chop of heads left and right. So there's that.

Since Dead Island 2 was postponed until 2024 and no official release this year - get this game. And Dying Light 1. Yeah, get both. You've got a PC capable of handling this game? Then you've fot enough money for both.

If you asked me a year ago I'd have said no but as they update it, DL2 has gotten closer to what I expected a DL sequel to look like. Hell a year ago You had to put some real effort into making volatiles even show up at night. Parkour has been improved, combat was improved with this last update, and night no longer feels indistinguishable from day. It's not perfect but it's almost there.

DL 2 is good. Its even better if you never played 1. Too many people holding onto nostalgic memories and cant let go of 1.

DL 2 is better on most aspect, some people are just nostalgic or completly delusional.

They are like those people saying diablo 1 is better than latest diablo games, or old assassin's creed better than recents ones....but its just being delusional. Yeah guys, Pong & Tetris are the best video games ever lel. Most of them just like to *** on the novelty.

But I'll give credits to DL1 cause at least the game doesnt feel rushed, while DL2 feels rushed.

DL2 is better imo... DL1 is currently popular because it can run on a potato and no one has the disposable income to play with glossy lights and shadows(ray tracing) to really enjoy the second.

Well Fortnite and Minecraft are the best game ever then. And I said "almost". If people prefer the vibes and atmosphere of DL 1, well good for them, but it doesnt mean DL2 is bad by any means.

Oh you're that kind of player "i want the firearms to pew pew zombies", well yeah Dying Light 2 is not that type of game. But you kind of have this feeling with the crossbow, to be fair, without sounds and effects ofc... :)

I enjoyed Dying Light 2 a lot. Just as much fun as the original (from what I can remember) but much bigger and obviously better looking, especially with RTGI on, which transforms the look of the game.
I bought it on sale and was money well spent.

DL1 has wayyyy better combat and story, but slightly worse parkour options.
DL2 combat is glitchy and extremely frustrating. DL2 feels like you're floating ; low gravity. The controls are also kinda bad ; no sprint button, aiming with ranged weapons is ♥♥♥♥♥♥

Overall DL1 is much better
