Is Co-op not working yet or do i have to get past a certain point?

me and my mom are trying to join the game together but can't figure it out.

I have tried to reach a certain point where coop would be unlocked, and Im very sure this is it... I am almost 1 hour in and it isnt unlocked

I've also heard from some people that unlocked co-op, playing co-op CORRUPTS your save, which is game breaking, people are already waiting for a day0/day1 patch

From what i've heard too, you unlock co-op after Villedor is fully open to you

You have to wait until you are in open world and past the tutorial.

I got to the open world part of the game but still cant play with friends its just not working

Co-op isn't available from the very beginning of the game. You'll need to complete the intro and tutorial that leads you into the city first, which will take an hour or two. Once you've completed the story quest called Markers of Plague, co-op will become available and you'll be able to invite friends into your game or join them in their games. From then on, you can play together through the rest of the game.

not true me and my friend are there and still can not play coop

I have the same issue, in the online menu in top right it says Disconnected but I clearly am not so I am unable to join

Mine says I am connected and I am still unable to join

same problem, all my friends can join eachother except for me, i can't even invite them and yes i have done all the missions neccessary to play online.
