Why is there no outrage about the underage sex?
In episode 3. Why not rage at it?

Laughing out loud..... A mod just told me not to ask people to report this game. I mean. What?!
Reporting it does NOTHING, if Valve decides that everything is fine with the game.
So why that fear?!
The report system exists to ASK for an in depth analysis of rule breaking content. I don't see anything bad in asking for that. The report system is NOT a auto-take-down @1,000 reports. It's just asking for a check.
And I mean... if not by the report system, then how else bring this topic to Valve/Steam's attention? How? Writing a letter? Tweet them?

EDIT 2:
As an LiS 2 err... "dude" stated, the most effective thing to do is to bring this topic to Valve/Steam's attention, because no matter how much or in what direction we discuss or speculate here, about Valve/Steam's whereabouts in the end we're discussiong here in the game's forum.
Therefore: Go and report this game for Child Exploitation, to bring this topic to Valve/Steam's attention.
The report system (flag-button/symbol on the game's store page) was made for cases just like this one.

EDIT 1: I am ok with this sex scene.
And: I am Ok with anime girls in skimpy outfits.

This thread is about discussing the DOUBLE STANDARDS OF SOCIETY AND VALVE!

Why ban half naked anime girls but not western child sex???

This is the question I would like to see rationally and objetivly answered.

Reminding and setting a few rules for discussion here after having observed this thread for some time.

1. No name calling of anyone else - that includes branding people SJW's, Snowflakes, Racists, Bigots, Pedos or Marxists (Hard to believe that I even need to mention that last one). This list is not exhaustive and users who decide to engage in such behavior will be suspended.

1.1 Do not pin perceived blame for Valve's decisions on political movements, such as trying to make out that "SJWs are strong-arming Valve into making x decision". Such posts are inane and only invite flaming.

2. Keep to the discussion at hand and do not make bad faith arguments. Do not derail the thread with personal attacks on other members.


Finally, as a throw-in from someone who works in the games industry, I would recommend you look at the way games are released. With LiS2, as part of SE, we ensure we do everything by the books and correctly and we work with partners to underline this. One such a test and an easy check for this is to look up the ESRB ratings for a game. Anyone of you can easily do this here:

I invite you to check whether any of them have been rated. Personally, I checked through a dozen or so of them and was unable to find evidence of any such ratings.

While getting rated isn't a requirement for release, it is a good indication of whether the game developers are taking care with the way everything is portrayed and that the final game adheres to certain standards. Thus, every single big budget game is always rated globally by all local ratings agencies (ESRB, PEGI, USK, CERO etc.). Where such ratings are not present, it may be a sign that the developer or publisher is not interested in adhering to those standards or that the dev fails to understand why they're there in the first place. I'm not able to speak for any of Valve's decisions, but as was pointed out above, you are trying to compare apples to oranges when you make comparisons between the way a game like LiS2 is published and banned Anime games.

Please also avoid trying to make arguments about legalities and laws. Games with a proper publisher all have lawyers whose job it is to ensure that all products adhere to local laws. Making attempts at armchair lawyering publisher decisions highlights nothing but ignorance regarding the specifics of the product and the argument in general.

I understand that you're here to try and make an argument about other games being allowed on the platform and are trying to use LiS2 as leverage in your argument. I'm afraid that this attempt is likely doomed to fail. You clearly have a Steam centered argument so I recommend you take this discussion to the Steam main forums where Steam staff might see it, instead of debating the issue here in a sub forum where nobody who can actually do anything about your plight will ever see it.

I think it is the way something is shown. Those anime games with boobs and such are explicity there to show off. In this game the sexualitly is handeled in a mature way. The boobs aren't unnatrual and the camera ancles aren't provoking. (like those from the floor right between the legst thing in some animes.)

If you fellow anime fans have a problem with Valve not allowing those games but LiS 2 then wouln't it be more suiting to write to the support team and expain how it is. You can set this game as example if you want. But raging about it here wohn't do anything good.

It is not the fans fault that Valve is ristricting your favorite games. Please don't blame this game for stuff like that. It's like if you are jealous because someone wasn't busted parking an hour to long but you were busted just parking 1 minute to long.

It doesn't matter what you hypocrites use as justification , this falls under child porn and obscenity laws. As soon as you break laws rights go out the window, including the first amendment.

Secondly you kind of people have been advocating for the censorship of what I like simply because it offends you, you're no better than the Christians during the satanic panic of the 80's.

The SJW's started this war and it is being fought with a double edged sword. If you censor what we like, don't cry when other uses your own weapons against you or don't come to your aid.

Yup. They can't allow this while simultaneously banning Japanese dating sims without being hypocrites. Either allow both or allow neither.

the outrage is behind the double standard. They ban games with any character that looks underage to them(sometimes I don't feel the character looks underage, sometimes the game isn't even sexual), yet this game isn't banned? Have some consistency Valve.

The game is rated 18 and if it falls under child porn then what is GTA to you? Or Call of Duty were dozens of people are killed?

First of all. We are just the fans playing this game and not the devs who made it.
Second as I sad above. If you have a problem wich sin't fair to you. Write to the support. Steam has an easy support system and when I write to them they wrote back within three days.

came here to report the game. Like I said, either have both, or have neither. Optimally I'd like to have both but there's no such thing as a report to NOT remove the game due to public outrage, but I just said as such in my report of this game. Figured I'd join the discussion in the process.

Steam has removed games for far, far less.

People do not like that Steam has different rules for small games and games published by big publishers/developers.

We've seen this before. Steam had strong "No" stance on games having sex, yet games like Mass Effect and later on Witcher were ignored because they were big games and thus they were ignored in the name of profits.

I personally do not care that LiS2 has sex scene with 16 year old. What i do care about is that steam has removed games that had young characters with skimpy clothing (exclusively asian games afaik).

Whatever you like LiS2 or not, everyone should be calling Steam out for their double standards.

Not to get LiS2 removed, but for steam to enforce rules on all games equally. Whatever it's made by small indie dev, or AAA dev.

have any of you ACTUALLY PLAYED THE GAME? or are you all raging based on what someone TOLD you was in it? I'm pretty damn sure none of you have actually played it, 'cos if you had you'd know that "scene" isn't really a "scene" because you don't see or hear anything. it's little more than implied.
