What's the main gameplay loop?
Is it a Diablo or is it a Orcs Must Die?

Diablo. You kill increasingly shiny bosses for gradual improvements in gear, until you can put a completely wack build together and kill all of the shinies in record time.

Everything is about most relics in minimum time, so you can take them apart for Machine God Sparks. You use them to reroll items, and you will pretty much never have enough. The crafting economy is horribly imbalanced.

> Everything is about most relics in minimum time,

Oh, so Diablo 3's Nephalem Rifts specifically...

For me it's level up character till the end of campaign, run the game for about a week more and uninstall due to the lacking end-game progression (too much RNG makes loot progression non-existent). Then return couple seasons later, rinse and repeat.

So it's more like Diablo (3) which I play couple weeks at time than OMD which I uninstall after couple hours (at best).

So is there no way to grind for progression in the end game? I picked this up and a semi casual friend also just got it. Im level 40 now been just pushing to the end of the campaign because its kind of easy and it seems the side missions plus tarot cards might be where the real loot is at. Is that wrong is it just dead after the campaign? Is it impossible to get proper gear?

No, not impossible. I just entered the beginning of end-game as well. The grind is daunting, but not impossible. Every hour I play my character gets just a little stronger, either with loot or by unlocking another perk.

Have you played PoE is the grind longer for gear to farm the top end content ? Ive done numerous PoE leagues to 36 challenges.

Oddly I have not played PoE and one of my friends is like "hey, play PoE!!!"

I've played the Diablos, the Torchlights and Grim Dawn... and for outliers I guess there's Victor Vran

I mean i know the skill tree can be daunting but i cant imagine not playing the best ARPG of the last 20 years when its free.

Like if i manage to get relic gear in every slot with decent mods is that enough to farm the end game or is that just enough to barely get started ?
