Not in Nvidia Control panel
So, this seems to be an ongoing issue for those that know. (I'd like to tweak stuff, especially AA)

Short of changing the game path manually, which in turn allows Nvidia control panel to find the exe, which results in it being un-launchable via Steam.

Does anyone know of a more eloquent way of adding this to Nvidia that allow for an in-Steam launch, since the game is still getting updated.

There are many posts on this but the method to do this seems to have "link removed" so that doesn't help.

Cheers

find the appmanifest_527430.acf file in your steamlibrary folder
and change install dir to your new one.

How did you add it to your nvidia control panel? I've been trying to do so but the only way for me was to change the .exe file name which obviously makes it not launch with steam.

Not sure if this can help, but since it's very closely related to your issue, I think it might be worth mentioning: I'm simply using NVidia's GeForce experience to tweak game performance, most of the time, and I just noticed it detected my (newly installed) Inquisitor as... Total War Warhammer.

Of course it doesn't offer any tweaking, since it doesn't find the settings it expects in the game's directory, but it clearly displays Inquisitor's directory path.

I'm having the same issue. I can't even manuely add the exe to the control panal. I wanted to tweak the settings because motion blur and DoF needs to go and this game seriously needs real anti aliasing cause TAA is garbage.

Nevermind. Rename your game folder so 40,000 doesn't have a comma in it. Needs to look like this "40000" or "40k" whatever you want. Control panal can't handle commas

There is an easy fix that I found to make sure your NVIDIA card is processing the game (initially mine wasn't).

Right click on your desktop and choose the NVIDIA Control Panel.

Select the Program Settings tab and then Add, searching for the Warhammer folder. There is a option to Add the Folder once you find it, which afterwards you can select your NVIDIA graphics card as the processor.

This will fix the processing, I can confirm, but it still won't be registered in the Control Panel.

I checked if the game was in my Nvidia control panel, it is showing up as total war warhammer.

It has the picture for total war warhemmer but the install path is for Maytr..

Add the exe through nvidia inspector

This is all useless, the game still ignores absolutely all the anti-aliasing settings added via nvidia inspector

This works ! Thanks a lot !
go into your steamapps folder and rename the install folder (just delete the",").
Then open the file with the editor and change name + install path (just delete the",").

Greetings

I did this, I created a new profile and it seems to work, but I have no idea which AA settings are right, because if I enhance or override the original AA settings, the game just get blurred without actually improving the visuals. :S

1. Completely exit steam.

2. Go to "[...]SteamLibrary\SteamApps\common\Warhammer 40,000 Inquisitor - Martyr" and remove the "," from the folder name.

3. open appmanifest_527430.acf in a text editor, find the line that says "installdir" "Warhammer 40,000 Inquisitor - Martyr" and also remove the "," from it.

4. Start steam.
