If you want nicely curved roads you will need mods.
They have been working on the game for 8 years. To make a decent Elevator system is a bit of an undertaking
Edit: I just thought of something, that you don't need to mod trucks, just record to have them sit and wait while on the elevator. Have the elevator floor just magically appear when the truck gets near.
It's funny they don't want to add curved roads either. Their excuse is lame "We have to completely change stuff" Horse hockey! Unreal Engine has a feature that lets you build curved structures with a curve object. Even Godot, an inferior game engine, has this (probably as an addon). I think it's how they made train tracks.
Again, modders most likely solved this.
What I am saying is, this shouldn't be difficult. Yea, math is hard; besides that though. But really, I am ignorant on what could take them sooooooo long.

The Jetpack and Hoverpack fulfill the function of an elevator for the players. For the vehicles, the devs already explained that they would have many problems implementing, especially in multiplayer, so it's better to use other methods such ramps. This was 3 years ago and they left open the possibility of implementing in the future.
So, you're basically have no idea what you're talking about, right? You don't know how to mod and you don't know what it takes to create a mod? But you say you could do it in a day? How can you make such statements with a straight face?
