Any way to kill the flying manta?

That thing annoys the crap out of me, srsly. We're building a big factory in the grass fields and that manta keeps flying over us "singing" or "crying" or whatever you wanna call the noises sit makes. That is super annoying, any way to disable or kill it?

Yeah guess I'll have to wait for a 1.0 mod then. And no, the flightpath isn't the problem, it's the constant wailing even from a large distance...

For those who´d like to know the path the manta is taking...emptie your inventory, take a good bunch of leaves and split the stack down to multiple one´s. Now get on the back of the Manta and drop every few meters one leave and in the end you have a clear line in the sky of it´s path.
When you´re done with whatever you wanted to build/accomplish ride the Manta again and pick up the Item you dropped for this purpose.

Silence the manta and you would still hear it's banshee song when you slumber. One simply does not be rid of the manta, even in death.

once mod support is fixed there are several mods that either remove it or raise it's flight path... i run one mod that simply makes it invisible...

Curious now, do you people don't bother its constant wailing? Or do you usually play somewhere else than in Grass Fields. (I know there are multiple mantas but bc of their fly path only the one on Grass Fields can be heard at all times). I can't unhear it and it's driving me crazy haha

but without creatures you miss out on things like your brother gloating about stealing sam ore from a spider by using conveyor lifts from the top of a cliff and the spider taking exception to that and riding the lift up.

Day 186: Some other pioneers have started to make the manta offerings of small lizard doggos and worship it. Yet it still screams.
