It's pretty common for a games player count to spike after a major update, however after a while it does go down again. I imagine the player count will probably settle at a larger number then before the update since a lot of new players probably bought the game at the 1.0 launch.

If you click on the charts tab at the top, you can see that it's at the eighth rank, 25% of Counter Strike 2, that game must be really good, wasting all of their time shooting guns instead of building factories! Get back to work! Happy Pioneering!
