Duplication Bug

Currently there's a bug in the live version of the game that allows you to duplicate any carryable items using a Factory Cart.

weeks? more like years. this bug has been around for a long time and there is more then one way to do it. you dont need the factory cart it can be done with alot of methods.

I suppose but I never tried. I only ever tried with sloops recently.
A while back I did it using belts and that time I was duplicating power slugs but that was before 1.0 where you can manufacture power shards. The time I did it was sloops I used the factory cart method.

I never saw a point in doing HDs as there are so many its insane. I am on phase 3 and I have a bunch of them I Cant even put in the mam because everything I can unlock is already unlocked. and there are still a bunch of them out there I havent even collected yet. So way more HDs then possible recipes

You need 100 to get the achievement and I have around 65 now.

the point is early game. hard drive quest massively distracts from main quest and for people with ADHD this is very uncomfortable. leaves the feeling of achieving nothing, loosing focus and motivaton.

well, I dont want to use the bug, but it would help to stay focused on the main quest.

If you cheat or use bugs in a SP game the only person you are cheating is youself.

I'm pretty sure the devs mentioned the belt duplication wouldn't get patched as it only affects those that seek it out, and for those it generally adds to the enjoyment of the game.

I've used it on sloops, HDs and spheres. Mostly because I wanted to build a factory, not go exploring for the n-th time.

Pretty sure the belt duplication did get patched out. It was in the patch notes. I tested it, doesn't work.

That said, there is no simpler method than the cart.

after watching TotalXclipses' video about the factory cart on YT, I did a new start in northern forest,
once i got my first somersloop and the other thingie I started duping them, found some tier 3-4 items, duped them, found some more tier 5-6 items and dupes them....etc...
weeeeell, u can unlock the alien power augmentors while still being in tier 1 - kinda funny if u have somersloops coming out of your backside - so to speak.
was fu n to test but ruined the fun in the longer run. - feeding a zillion supercomputers into the shredder to get tickets - fun for a moment.
Idc if this gets patched or not - I'll prolly use in the future for harddrive duping - collected all the drives the regular way several times, it becomes tedious after a while.
so my thoughts on cart duping - Use At Your Own Risk....it may spoil the fun out of this great game.
