Limestone mining
Hi All, very new to this game. Can I mine limestone with a big miner? Not the starter one.

Yes you can auto mate limestone just like iron and copper.

The portable miners don't require any energy, and the miner Mk 1 does, if you don't hook it up to a constructor or smelter, it acts just like a portable miner, except burns up some power, about the same speed. I timed them once, put down three miners, a miner mk 1, and hand chiseled the ore/mineral, and I won, probably had about 40% more compared to the portable miners, and 25% more than the miner mk 1, so it's a little bit faster than a portable miner, but I guess it depends on the purity of the node too, might get worse or better results with an impure, normal, or pure vein.

I usually put a few portable miners on the node too, because the miner mk 1 is pretty slow , and you can supplement it's output with the portables, just have to "grab all" (E) from the portable, put it in the same output as the miner Mk 1, which helps if you only have a small power grid established. When you're ready you can always just pick the portable miners up (E) "pick up miner", then use them some place else, you can't dismantle (F) them, but they are required to build miners, so they won't go to waste.

Thanks for the replies, Finally figured it out, I was trying to send limestone through a smelter like you would with copper, looking back a silly thing to do, it`s a lot to take in when you first start but really enjoying it. Thanks again.
