Future plans / ideas
I am aware that now is a big hype for the game since it just got offically released and people are praising a lot of the changes but besides more minor changes it looks to me like they majorly added just another set of processes to streamline. But before you start ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ on me in comments section for being more scptic about this update hear me out. Let me suggest changes i would like to see to start a little disscusion. Maybe even some dev is gonna see it. Pardon my poor ability to write in english.

To be honest i was hopeing for some big new changes that would stack on top of this game and make it kinda a new. Ideas i had in my mind and i was hopeing that would come with 1.0 Update was any kind of system really that would make concurent gameplay more complicated or that would push factory building to more limits. Like heat systems or air flow systems. The reason i would suggest changes that someone would say are somewhat wired ideas is because this game has a big potential for it. I would say game being more or less 3D with ability to build walls and structures has potential for players to utlized closed spaces. Now in current state of the game walls and such are more or less used to organaize things or make things look better. There is not much point to it. Its purely optional with no benefits whatssoever. But if structures and building would produce elemnts and by products or perhaps thier outputs would have to be captured from air it would add A LOT of complexity to the game and i mean A LOT. I would love a game like this to try to add some complexity to the game without making me spend more time just building the same designs but just for a new item or resource. I think devs should conisder adding more content but in this manner that makes player rethink thier designs and add more layers to current state of the game.

I truly belive game like that shine the most when your trying too solve some issues or opitlize processes or old designs. Current update doesn't add anything like that. I want to see game changeing updates that shake the foundation upon which our factories stand but shouldn't take years of game develoment.

I agree with the premise that for me as well, the game feels extremely easy, basic and shallow when it comes to depth and complexity. But at the same time, it feels like this was exactly what the devs intended: a chill, casual factory-style sandbox game that has a much wider appeal than something more complex. And in that regards, it's great. If I'm in the mood to just build pretty and not have to think much at all, it's very, very enjoyable. But that sort of extra complexity that I'd personally love that you mention, will most likely come in the form of mods, and I'm alright with that too, as for that sort of thing I trust modders infinitely more than the devs.

I think you should check the Coffeestain video about things that will never make it into the game. On top of that I also can't help wonder at what tier you're currently at, because you'll get plenty of complexity later on through the likes of building mechanics.

Each to their own but I can't help shake of the feeling that such changes merely add complexity for the sole sake of making things harder, not necessarily to enhance on the overall gameplay.
