Splitting a stack not working.
When trying to split a stack it seems to be splitting is increments of two. It won't split on the number your try to input.

Splitting only works within the context of the inventory involved.

i dont know what that means but i think it's ridiculous that the stacks split to a different number than the one i chose, it makes no sense, if i choose to split 50 then i expect it to split 50, not 51 or 48 or any other number

Some items are created in multiples, like plates created in 2's and screws created in 4's. These items cannot be split in 1's, only the original counts.

Yeah, how dare they not allow for a stack of 15 being split in two. Do you even know what 15/2 is? ;) Just wondering... new players seem to rely a lot on the 'n' feature.

You can put numbers in the left and right box. If you select 14 on one stack and 1 on the other, it may not always do that even though it adds to 15. So if you end up with 13 and 2, and you wanted 1, then you have to right click the 2 stack to end up with a single unit.

apparently not, i'm doing some testing and can't make any sense of it

with a stack of 120 screws it is possible to split off 41 or 43, but not 42
and then with a full stack of 500 screws i can split off 42, but not 41 or 43

120 screws allows me to split 48 and 51, but not 49, 50, or 52
500 screws allows me to split 48, 50, and 51, but not 49 or 52

edit: neither stack will allow me to split off 4 screws, even though screws are made 4 at a time

This I think a known bug in v1.0

Are you entering the number by just typing it then pressing split? Or do you confirm it is entered by using enter or clicking off? Because I ran into something like that earlier. I didn't do extensive testing for behaviour though so I can't be sure, but I remember something like that happening.

Also can manually slide the bar as well to get the number you want.

i am typing the number then pressing enter before clicking split and when i press enter the number changes, also sliding the bar skips the exact same numbers

I tried to split 50 and I got 49
I held right click on the stack until a slider appeared. Then I set the number to 50 but it split 49

The split stack function is ♥♥♥♥, unfortunately. More often than not its easier to just do the half stack button and combine packets till you get the amount you wanted.

Have you tried reloading the game and then doing the split?

I wonder if there's a UI bug that happens after certain functions. I just loaded up and can split screws fine, but I did notice some weird stuff a few days ago. There might be some trigger to make it bug out like that.

Split to the nearest you get and RMB the rest till you have the amount you want.
