Will you start over?
A lot of us have several hundred or even THOUSANDS of hours into our builds in this game. When Version 1.0 eventually gets released, and they actually throw the story line into the game, will you abandon everything and just start over? I'm almost to a point with my build that I should probably just walk away and wait for V1.0 so I'm not just completely emotionally destroyed when they do :-).

I've got 757 hours into my game, and I know several of you have THOUSANDS of hours. How many of you have started stock piling anti-depressants for the eventual release of V1.0?

I will avoid a restart I like what I have built and such games I also do not start again
I have 2338 hours if there is something wrong with the save state I usually stop playing because there is too much work in it to start again

4200 hrs in, will not start over. Too much to get all recipes and don't want to build another 40000 buildings.

I'm at 4450 hrs and recently opened the first backup of my last 1800 hr save to have another go starting at 23 hrs. A full restart doesn't appeal atm. When 1.0 is released it'll be too tempting to finish the story from a largely completed state to see whatever the endgame is rather than a full restart.

Before each update I keep saying that I'll start over...

And when update get released I change my mind and keep going

One of my all time favorite games. I have restarted 4 times in first 700hrs. I will wait.

I have restarted several times. In some cases I had a series of buildings that I liked, so when I started anew, I would save the fresh restart and load it in to Satisfactory Calculator and add in what I liked, plus the alt recipes I needed. That does take away from the sting a bit. When I start afresh, it is nice to know that my massive bank of Turbofuel power generators will be there waiting for me.

I start over in every major patch, for me the start is the most enjoyable part of the game.
Eventually when the game is finished I'll do a megabuild as a grand finale.

I agree. I enjoy restarting and implementing fresh ideas or improved versions of previous builds. And experimenting with different starting locations to see how the factory grows differently. Plus, for me, I would prefer to start over for role-playing whatever the story turns out to be.

I actually tried a restart once, just to see how it would feel but... I acually got a little frustrated over the few things I could suddenly do, I mean not even having simple conveyor options seemed very out of place to me (I did skip the tutorial btw).

IMO that part might also need some work: at the least something to make it more appealing for a more seasoned player to start over.

Geez, my mind is blown.
How do you not get bored after such amount of game-time?
I mean, after 40hrs I felt I did everything twice. And 40hrs is a work-week, to put it into perspective.
Sometimes I wish I did not get bored so quickly, but dayum 2000hrs in one save?!
There is other things to play (and do). Don't you feel like you are missing out on life, of what is happening like in town or something? I cannot even fathom lol
But to each his own I guess. Like someone said. "Time enjoyed wasting is not wasted" or whatever.

Are there really other things to play and do? You might feel like you're missing out on life after checking my youtube channel. After doing what I have done, anyone would be lucky to be alive. I cannot even fathom your ignorance.
I have built fences, painted, installed flooring in my house all while playing SATISFACTORY, I have even been caught playing 200 miles from my computer, the wife wanted to shut the game off when I was out of town golfing.
And in a few minutes after writing this gnawvel I will start up my factory, then get all AFK and serve white chocolate raspberry custard for my wife and I.

I guess I better not mention how many hours I have then
kLuns May 29, 2023 @ 11:02pm
it's about quality hours, not quantity hours :)
