You don't, same as you don't see structures on map.
They did, and the answer is Not happening.
Not like you really need a map in a static world. You learn your way just by walking around enough.
Who said that? It shoud be not that hard do render outline boxes of train tracks or paths on a 2d map. I mean, if the calculator site can do this... Just suggest this on the Q&A Site. Uh ... and the recorded paths of trucks and Co are already shown in Update 5. so long dudes ^^ (EDIT "the recorded paths of trucks and co are already shown"... in a miniature map, so they are aware of it)
Just upload your save to it and it shows you train lines, power lines etc that you have built.
(not sure if it will work right if you use the experimental build at this time though, but works with Update 4)
