Medieval game?
I have hundreds of hours on SF (release U4, please!!!), and now I got the itch to know if there's a game that is basically a medieval version of this. Not like Medieval Engineers, more about production lines, even if it's low/high fantasy. Any ideas?

Whatever the hell this is supposed to be. I'd heard it described as a sort of Zelda Breath of the Wild + well EVERYTHING. Looking at the screenshots and the one video I'd seen a while back, it was.... certainly a bit of EVERYTHING.

I'd tried Volcanoids out in a demo or something a long time ago. It was VERY VERY rough, with UI oddities and bugs out the wazoo. It's been a year or more since then though, so I hope it's improved. Sort of steam-punk vibe to it. Not quite Medieval, but older-fashioned than SF.

Cutesy automation-style game. Apparently has population, but I don't know how much it involves taking care of them versus raw resources like ores.

Another that looks oddly identical. If you showed both of them to me side-by-side, I'd swear they were the same game. So no clue on whether it has population control to go with management.

Here is the one that def doesn't fit the medieval bill. Looks a bit like 3D Factorio. Came across it in the steam store, but had not heard a whiff of it anywhere else. Reviews are kind of low on it, despite it looking quite impressive. Seems to be barebones, so only use if you like automation for automations sake. Like, no story or end-goal.

The old Anno releases have production lines. Would look into if Ubisoft improved their launcher and such before buying it. Was put off by it and stopped playing the series, but that was years ago.

Annos are puzzle games, boring. I own them all. I'm looking for something like Factorio or Satisfactory, but medieval, simple as that. No population management, just produciton lines

If you haven't found it, it probably doesn't exist. Not in a Factorio/Satisfactory style at least.

But I think you knew this already.

Maybe you can use Steam to find what you are looking for. On the store page, click on the Browse tab at the top of the store page, I'd use browse popular categories (tags) it's close to the bottom of the browse categories, look for the building category.

I found 1,838 tagged titles there, maybe one of those will suit your needs, but you've found the Satisfactory discussion board, most posters are already fans of this game, not looking for other games, and may resent players asking for these types of suggestions, and just want to play Satisfactory, you know what I mean? Then there is always YouTube and the Internet.

Get on the Satisfactory Mod Repository forum, have a friendly chat, and pay someone to make it for you.

Ummm, Autonauts? It's sort of got production lines, but it's more programming-based. You build robots that have limited memory, but you "program" them (by recording what you do and they copy it) to do various tasks. I didn't get far before my mind exploded from complexity, but even then I had a hundred bots all constantly working. The look of it all is sort of... medieval vibe to it.

Honestly, it's going to be real tough to get a medieval production-line game, since they DIDN'T have automation and logistics to this level back then. But I'll look at my wishlist to see if there are more I'd spotted and not tried. There's one that seems like it might be close...
