Please add fluid input to AWESOME Sink
Topic.
We can void items, but not fluids.
Having a way to burn off excess fluid byproducts, or just excess fluids in general, would be a great help. Pls consider. Ty

I didnt try it, but you can package liquids and thus send them to the sink.

Yes, you can package them and do so, but you waste a lot of plastic since you don't get those containers back.
If you've got extra heavy oil residue, you can just make coke from it and send that right into the sink. For water, it's probably easier to sink wet concrete.

Good idea, thx!

I was already a little bit annoyed that I constantly had to flush the pipes so the production goes on, but with your suggested way this problem is solved and you even get coupons for the awesome shop.

Make fuel and then feed it into fuel power plants? I guess coke and putting it into the shop is a good solution too though.

Then your fuel backs up because it will almost never be used at full capacity (or it runs out which is even worse).

It would be all well and good asking for the Sink to havea fluid input, but we also need a functional 'overpressure' relief system akin to the smart splitters overflow functionality to tie in with it.

That would be useful for a lot of reasons. Still, if you put a few industrial fluid reserves in, that will buy you some time at least.

In theory you should never actually need the fluid buffers in an efficient system. All your inputs should be getting processed by the next structure in line or you'll eventually back up.

I've got several in my original factory and they either spend their time nearly empty or they're full and I've just delayed my original problem until I've built even more around it, making it an even bigger task to do something about it.

i found a youtuber that showed a great "over flow" for pipes ... for heavy for example u put 2 walls at end of line run pipe straight up and over the wall and put coke machine on other side the fluid will only go over the two walls if everything is full and backed up because of gravity

The whole point of the fluid system is you have to take steps to keep it from backing up, they're not likely to remove all of that by letting you sink fluid directly.
