Whats annoying about Atoli? So far the only character I've found annoying is Haseo. Twintails was right in calling him a brat.

every character i met in this game was absolute trash tier so i already uninstalled it but atoli still takes the crown

Haseo is more tolerable if you've watched the .hack//roots anime since you'll get where he's coming from, but for the sake of plot development they stripped his character of all self-awareness until key plot points and gave everyone around him the patience of saints. Atoli is more creepy and obsessed than annoying and her development in part 2 makes it worth bearing with her.

Every character? Including Ovan and Yata? Aside from a few, many of the characters arent special, however they are written in a very natural way. Most of them get character development or background.

I still have no idea how you can find Atoli of all characters the worst, tho. You'd have to be an Edgelord the likes Hasuo is in the first volume. xD

Ah so thats it. I never understood that sentiment. I guess people are just too shy to appreciate straight forward and dependant characters. Shrug.

I watched the anime in between volume 1 and 2, and I have to say its kind of awkward. Hasuo goes from brat to pretty good to berserker/broken, back to brat again. It was pretty awkward in particular when he went from berserker to brat. xD

Just wanted to drop by and add my two cents...

I do see why people can find Atoli annoying. The poor girl CAN come off as pretty needy, obsessive, and preachy, especially at the beginning, and I've also seen a number of people express a strong dislike for her voice. But those issues aside, she's still my favorite character by far and has been ever since my first playthrough years ago. Heck, she's probably one of my all-time favorite fictional characters, if I'm being perfectly honest.

A big part of my personal attachment to her comes from how strongly I can relate to her internal struggles. Seeing her pain makes me want to see her grow and succeed that much more and makes me just that much more proud of the growth she achieves by the end. Not to mention, she's just such a sweetheart and I can't help but love her for that. Precious cinnamon rolls give me life. <3

And then, there's her relationship with Haseo (who, as people have mentioned above, has an absolutely AWFUL attitude at the start but warms up a lot over time). I love seeing the positive effects they have on each other, even if it means I have to initially suffer a fair bit of second-hand embarrassment for the both of them as they go around upsetting each other in their own ways. :')

And thus concludes my essay on why Atoli is best character. LOL
