IMOQ had the Databug infested Super Dungeon "Hidden DarkSide HolyGround"
the GU series had the Forest of Pain.
now it has vol 4 which give it a 'real' ending for poeple unhappy with the older one ^^
nu~~~ or ever worst ghost and ghouls lol.
Nope, //SIGN started a month before //Infection in Japan and began airing in NA a week before //Infection's NA release. //ROOTS was also a month before //G.U. in Japan. However, it did start airing in NA 2 weeks after the NA release of the first //G.U. game, Rebirth.
Maybe you're thinking of the entirely non-canon anime //DUSK (Legend of the Twilight Bracelet) that started airing just before //Quarantine was released?
Not sure. I know that one of the anime was tied to the 2nd or 3rd game of the first series of .Hack games that came out, which required you to watch it to know what was going on and that the ending of the game was tied to the ending of the series.
if I remember right, the lead character was stuck in the game and couldn't get out, kinda like Sword Art Online. I don't remember much other that in the anime the other characters commented about that. I only got to watch one episode because of work.
Neither IMOQ or GU required you to watch the animes for the "true ending"
Ah! Okay. Thanks for clearing that up for me. That's the one that I was thinking of.
