Game Won't Start!! [Solved]

Everytime I try to launch the game nothing happens at all. Steam says it's running, but it's not, and there isn't any file running that I could find in the task manager. I do have FAR on, and I've already tried verifying files which didn't help.
Specs:
GTX 1070
Intel i7 4790
16GB RAM
Please help! I want to play more!

Then see if the game works. If it does, use the automatic installer for FAR to reinstall the mod.

Tried this and it worked without the FAR mod installed, but the auto-installer no longer does anything. A manual install of the newest version of FAR ends up breaking the game again, FYI. The previous version of FAR worked just fine for me.

Edit: Had to downgrade to FAR 7.0.14.7 manually to get it working with the game again. Any newer version I tried manually installing would not let me start the game. Hopefully this helps anyone else who can't get the auto-installer to work either.

Thanks for the tip, this worked for me as well. 7.0.17 kept crashing the game on startup for me, but 7.0.14 seems to work fine (I did not try 15/16)

I tried, and it still wouldn't start. Is there something I'm missing?

I did not solve until I realized I had both "normal" keyboard and mouse detached -- normally I use a wireless app from my smartphone to control the PC, or my DS4 with DS4Windows. Connecting them both solved the issue

I tried deleting every extra file to no avail. I found that the problem was with ReShade being sneaky. Since I'm relatively new to using ReShade, I hadn't the slightest clue it automatically installed itself onto Automata's game folder.

I had to launch up ReShade_Setup_4.5.3.exe then tell it to uninstall its files from Nier's folder [imgur.com] as manual removal didn't seem to cut it.

Hope this helps out fellow late party Nier players like myself. Although, I'm not sure which games ReShade breaks as well.

Where did you find the Reshade setup? I'm in the same boat as others. I deleted all the reshade and extraneous files, and the game ran. Re-installing FAR broke it again.
